Fantastic Rally game. Only kids and NEETs care about being "ripped off" for $4 DLC.

Compared to Dirt Rally 1.0: Don't recommend.
If Dirt Rally is a bit much for you: Recommend.

Not a bad rally game in and of itself, but compared to Dirt Rally 1.0 the handling is worse, the car sounds aren't as good, the stages are too generic, and the call outs are bad.

It's still better than World of Tanks.

Netcode isn't an issue if you always play with it restricted to a 5 bar connection. Graphics, sound, gameplay are all tight. Whatever issues there are on the periphery it's still Street Fighter and Street Fighter is good.

At the end of the day my main complaint is that they butchered several of my favorite characters to give them completely new inputs and gameplay. If you wanted these different gameplay styles to be in the game, make new characters to use those movesets. I want classic Dictator and Claw! So I guess I'm a Guile main, because they still let him be Guile.

Buy this game looking for an exquisite fighting system (in my opinion, the best of all time) and an addictive, long game with tiered loot, builds, gear sets, etc. for you to toy with. Don't buy it expecting a Dark Souls clone. The extent of it's similarity to Dark Souls is bonfires (shrines) and the enemies respawning every time you use one. In the grand scheme of things it's much more relatable to Borderlands, Diablo, Warframe, and of course Ninja Gaiden.

Add to that a tough but fair challenge, an excellent soundtrack, awesome atmosphere, the best ninjutsu porn maybe ever in a game, and a good story and you have what amounts to a modern masterpiece.

Every aspect of the game is bland and unengaging. The story, the world, the voice acting, the quests, the combat. None of it is remarkable in even the slightest degree.

A neat and aesthetically pleasing game that's crippled by its simplicity.

Just spam buildings that grant you Honor points, spend the Honor points on wars. When you capture a territory, it's just yours; no peace negotiations, no worrying about who will inherit the title. It's bordering on Total War simplicity.

Get Nova Monumenta Iaponiae Historica for Crusader Kings II instead. Just don't forget the music mod someone made for it too. Only get Sengoku on sale for $2.50 if you really want the Paradox Plaza icon and avatars.

Negative reviews come from balding men that have played nothing but Q3A since black leather trenchcoats were considered cool. If you're not one of them you can disregard these reviews.

The core gameplay is completely unremarkable but the atmosphere, story, and the 40K license is enough to carry it. Buy it on sale for $10 or less.
