I'm enjoying the demo so far; it's a fun idle game inspired by the battle network series which i love and i feel like it captures the essence of it well in the form of an idle game.
Customisation aspects are also quite good so far with the ability to insert in custom sprite art for your bit so that it can look like whatever you want.

Prior to this game my favourite game in the series was Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 released in 2000 for the Dreamcast.

After completing most of the content in this early access and beating the final boss i'm happy to say that Tokyo Xtreme Racer (2025) is a great return to form and feels like a breath of fresh air when it comes to car games with it's straightforward gameplay.

If you've enjoyed other highway racing games like Night Runners, the various game modes for Assetto Corsa such as "No Hesi" or other games set on the Shutoko (Shuto Expressway) then i'm fairly confident you'll enjoy Tokyo Xtreme Racer (2025).

I look forward to seeing how Genki improves the game.

New player experience feels overly punishing and not particularly fun.
Immediately following the tutorial and dying to an enemy I was put under an effect which reduced the amount of experience my character gained which felt bad.
On a second attempt to get past said enemies, this time with fewer resources than before, I died once again, likely due to inexperience with the game (though this should be a given at this early stage). After dying I was again inflicted by a curse which reduced XP further.
It's at this point that I felt the game was punishing me for trying to learn its' mechanics and decided it was not worth it.

Tried to sortie twice, disconnected within 30s each time. 30h ban.
I would have hoped they have introduced some less severe penalties for disconnects during custom matches at this early point in the game's Steam launch but apparently this is not the case.
I would really like to love the game but sadly the game seems intent on denying me that.

I found out about this game thanks to Iron Pineapple.
Loving the game so far especially the graphics with the VHS filter applied, it's just so cosy while exploring this deep, dank pit.

I've lost all interest in playing this game after NGS released and having played enough of it to realise that it quite clearly appears to be under-developed to me.
The base game is the better part of the game but has been made worse by introduction of changes alongside the release of NGS.

I really enjoyed the graphics, art style and general atmosphere of the game, the music really hit it home for me too.
The investigative story really pulled me in and kept me invested throughout my time playing and was a good incentive to explore the paradise further.
The game's a good length and not super replayable but what there is is very good in my opinion, i'd happily recommend this game to anyone i know who likes these sorts of games and i look forward to see what Kaizen do next.

The game's just frustrating.

I've only played the game a short while and so far haven't discovered what makes it fun, after having completed the tutorial and entering the game proper i've gone through a dozen characters each time ending in frustration.
