The vibes are unmatched, this is heaven

Is it awesome? Yes. Is it finished? HELL NO. Like, yes, sure, I am addicted and everything but if you aren't already, wait for more updates.

This is an amazing AA game. The world is built with so much attention to the book series, sprinkled with the visuals from the movies, made coherent and gorgeous and lovable. There aren't that many sidequests, and collecting the collectibles is for once not a chore -- at least for me, I loved diving back in and Revelio-ing everything to death. It's a cozy world, inhabited by bright individuals. The gameplay loop, the way the quests build upon each other, I enjoyed these things tremendously.
But the story is nowhere near where it could have been. The books are written like mystery novels where you never expect the revelations that come at the end. Here, though, the ending is as plain as they get. The villains don't have additional depth. The consequences of the only meaningful choice you make are resolved offscreen. To receive the final three achievments you're forced to spend up to nine hours replaying the game from the beginning, tutorials included.
So, yes, I loved it and a fourteen year old me would have thought it was flawless, but it's not perfect.
