i am being given a free game to give this game a positive review

given its current state, i cant exactly recommend halo infinite to anyone for multiplayer

halo infinite has greatly expanded how much you can move by giving you slides and increasing the gravity when you jump, this leads to the gameplay which doesnt feel quite what youd expect from a halo game if you ever played halo games that bungie made (halo 3, 2, CE)

in fact, this actually leads to gameplay feeling alot more like call of duty (just hitting the targets or firing whatever amount of bullets you can), than halo gunplay which is definitely more precision based

in fact, 343 has taken SEVERAL steps back when you compare to this to halo reach
while greater movment was added, you could swap out that with modules like deploying a lockdown shield on yourself which i felt was something unique, in halo infinite everyone can sprint

while sprinting isnt a bad thing on its own, it gets pretty bad when you look at a gamemode in particular, oddball
while equipping the oddball, your sprint is disabled, you cant move as effectively and that leaves moving in general very off, and while i did have fun playing oddball, it felt more like everyone was more out for kills rather than actually doing the objective

i am also worried about the things like the "rare weapon core" bars ontop of the weapons, i hope this isnt anything indicating lootboxes for weapons but from the way its looking it certainly does look like it

in terms of progression, you only get XP based off the amount of challenges you complete and the amount of xp you get from completing these is very little, so youd basically have to grind challenges (which is never fun) to complete the battlepass objectives

oh, speaking about the battlepass, did you know that most of the "interesting" ones are locked behind a paywall?
yup! i wish i could put images on this but because im too lazy to use something like imgur as a image hosting website i cant exactly show you, but yes most of the stuff you can unlock is not through doing interesting stuff like finding eastereggs or completing challenges, they are unlocked by paying a paywall and grinding these challenges

along with the flaws regarding movement, some weapons are straight up deleted from the game

the magnum pistol everyone liked? gone, disappeared, vanished
the covenant carbine everyone liked? it turned into a burst-fire, slow-projectile, homing weapon

in terms of graphics, sure they look nice but some things look completely out of place
the UNSC vehicles in general look extremely odd given that the green they use is completely different from the green used in previous halo installments, the wasp, a UNSC flying vehicle is extremely smooth for being UNSC, and looks like it should belong to the covenant more than the UNSC

in general game is poopoo compared to previous halo games atm, id reccomend buying halo MCC than rather playing this

i will say this though about infinite; its better and takes up less space than warzone

i have no idea how this has positive reviews

this is a port of a mobile game of the same name, that already raises red flags
whats worse is that all the "players" are bots, and those bots arent very good

grenades are consumables, if you run out you spend gold to get more grenades, and mind you they arent even that good

the "visuals" of this "game" are probably ripped out from a free online marketplace, they are "decent" but often do not fit into the time

the gameplay of this game is this;
1. play a match
2. realize automatic weapons are trash
3. switch to a rifle
4. headshot all the bots
5. win
6. grind to the only rifle you can get with f2p credits

you play as a loser that is not master chief

if you play any halo game on a lower difficulty than heroric i hate you

wacky combat based off of physics and ragdolls, very fun if you dont take it too seriously and just try and do some really wacky stuff
