fantastic side story that expands on the yakuza 7 story and sets up some interesting stuff for 8 next year, not quite sure I'd consider it worth the full price, but the massive bundled demo for 8 is difficult to pass up

having never played this before, I'm pretty stunned that something like this was a ps2 game. there is of course a fair amount of 6th gen jank, and konami is giving square a run for their money with the port quality, but this is such a fantastic game. Wait for it to be fixed and on steep sale, otherwise already some great mods out there to fix this seminal experience

can't think of any other series that has pulled off both a genre shift and protagonist change successfully in the same instalment, but very glad it happened to be yakuza
