Metaphor Re:Fantazio is a game unlike anything I’ve ever played. I went into it only seeing the initial concept art, and I was treated to an unforgettable experience from start to end. The gameplay and story has nearly zero fat, with only a few minor nitpicks here and there.

After finishing the game and re-playing it for the achievements, I can soundly say that Metaphor takes the place as my game of the year in 2024, and with time, it may one day take SMT IV’s place as my favorite game ever.
