TF2 compared to any of its competitors in the market (no not overwatch, that's a hero shooter not a class shooter) is a game that on the surface level looks extremely dumb, but provides an immensely in depth skill ceiling in all areas of play, even to the pyro (to an extent). This gameplay loop is only complemented by the unique art style, music, voice acting and for the most part, good map design. While playing in the modern day is more difficult thanks to cheaters and bots, its not impossible to find matches and is still worth picking up today.
