This game can be very fun, but if you're not frustrated by the learning curve right away, the bugs will do it. The developer does a terrible job of bug fixing. The community is toxic AF too, so that's the icing on the terrible cake that is this game. Highly recommend you don't buy it. If you do anyway, wanna swf?

I recommend this game with one caveat: Buy it on sale.
edit: After posting this I figured out the best way to describe this game: It's less of a Tycoon game and more of a dinosaur pet simulator.

I bought the game during winter sale for $5 and I'm glad I didn't pay full price. While there's a lot to like here, and is really fulfilling the 90's fantasy of playing dino park tycoon in my middle school library. The dinos look great and it's really fun to see the different herbivore herds mixing together and it's exciting to experiment with customizing your park's residents. The use of the Jurassic park franchise is really excellent as well, with character cameos and references everywhere, that any fan will appreciate.

The main problems I have are with the depth of the game play, and the gratuitous waiting. There's not really a lot here for a 'tycoon' type simulation. The financial stuff and guest satisfaction just seem like afterthoughts, with the main game being collecting fossils to improve your genomes so you can make more and better dinosaurs. My second problem is the waiting. Everything you do takes SOOOOO long. Waiting for expeditions to return. waiting for fossils to process or dinosaurs to hatch. It gives the whole experience a bit of a mobile 'pay to skip' feel (even though there aren't microtransactions). Its also a bit disappointing the creative mode is so restricted until you play the campaign.

Addicting rouge-like! I love this game, the controls feel smooth as silk, and as someone who normally sucks at platformers, the gameplay still lets me feel pretty bad-ass, which is good.

I remember when this game first came out, I was so excited! I preordered it from EB games (when that still existed), which is something I rarely do now, much less when I was in high school. I remember showing up on the day they told me it would be released and found it had been pushed back. I showed up on the new day, and it still wasn't out. Third time's a charm though because i finally got my hands on it when I went back. It was worth the wait. This game is hilarious, has an interesting art style, and some really fun 3d platforming. It also does a fantastic job of fulfilling that psychic-power fantasy.
