I originally read the JP version halfway before stalling it due to other commitments, so I was estatic when they announced the ENG localization. I've always been a big fan of Waffle ever since reading the Funbag Fantasy series, which I personally rated it highly, on par with the legendary Rance series from Alicesoft in terms of 'Seggs with plot & world building'. If you're a fan of 'Seggs with plot & world-building', then be sure to keep an eye out on Waffle's release.

Now that the introduction is out of the way, to summarize the game itself:

Stunning, top-tier illustrations for both the characters and the fantasy world itself.

- Offers a straightforward and easy-to-follow plot — Great for a laid-back experience or you just want something that doesn't suck up your time needlessly.

- Story with a wholesome narrative, steering clear of extreme themes.

- Strikes a balance with the seggs scenes — neither too short nor excessively long.

- The soundtracks greatly complement the game's 'ambiance' and the voice actress are good!

In short, if you're looking for a sweet vanilla romance with 2 main waifus and an easygoing story with top-tier artwork that isn't made by AIs, do BUY THIS GAME. However, if you're looking for something beyond vanilla, then you'll have to check out Waffles' or Shiravune's other game offerings.

Another day, and another great release by Shiravune. Please have mercy on my wallet! (JK, keep up the good work!)

Onto the VN itself; if you know PurpleSoft and have been around in the VN scene for a short while, chances are you may have played some of their previous works and it does not need any other introduction.

To keep it short, If you're a fan of solid world building with interesting cast of characters, appreciate a good story coupled with romance, action in between & comedies every here n then, GET THIS GAME.

Fantastic artwork, great voice casting & soothing soundtracks are some of the other tantalizing icings on the cake; the rest are for you to discover & experience it yourself. Lastly, don't forget to get the R18 patch (Kunado Chronicles Patch for Steam) from Johren as usual

Mama & papa is sooo gonna be disappointed with me if they find out I'm playing this.

Finally have the time to write a review for this game after completing it offline. In summary, should you buy this game? HELL YES.

The theme of the VN features Corruption + Vanilla. Yes, how often do you see Corruption & Vanilla in one sentence? Go figure

Pros
- You get 20 - 40 hours of gameplay time (depending on whether you decided to skip read text) with 4 different possible endings (2 Priest endings + 2 Princess endings; each with good & bad ending)
- Easier combat mechanics compared to other Escu:de games even though the tutorial is not that helpful (read below for more writeup)
- Noticeable improvement in Quality of Life stuff e.g. Cleaner UI & icons, ability to favorite voiced lines (if you love ASMR), easier to read text, smoother navigation & etc (Played other Escu:de games before, HimeYoku is a direct QoL update compared to e.g. Yamizome Revenger)
- Nuns, Priest and Princess whewww

Cons
- Tutorial is a bit confusing and isn't that helpful. That's all :)

.:: Endings ::.
As mentioned above, there are 4 possible endings. Without going into too much detail, it all depends on whether you can raise enough 'Seed of Darkness' ("SoD") & whether you can reach the Mental State of Lvl. 4 within the allocated time frame/objective.

Not enough SoD (i.e. less than 3K)? You'll be locked into Priestess route. If you are able to raise >3K SoD, you have the choice of whether to enter the 'Priestess' route or 'Princess' route. Good ED & Bad ED for Priestess route depends on the quantity of SoD you can raise.

If you pass the 3k SoD threshold? Enter Princess route. Good ED & Bad ED here depends on the 'action' you decided during the 'sexy time' you'll have with the princess at the end of the game.

If you fail to reach Mental State Lvl. 4 in the princess route? Game over

.:: On the combat mechanics ::.
The in-game tutorial is confusing but the general summary of the game mechanics;
Increase the crowd gauge bar -> Harvest the crowd bar using 'Powers' -> You get SoD.
You want to increase harvest efficiency & effectiveness? Use Summoning skill before harvesting.

If you see the Crowd bar going low, use the 'Normal' ability to increase it, then rinse & repeat. That's all!
Each action will increase the orgasm bar -> when you hit 100% orgasm = 1 orgasm count
each orgasm count = Increases Metal Bar (i.e. more orgasm = mindbreak!)

The number of actions you can perform are limited by your Vitality attribute, which can be raise when you're at the preparation screen.

You can increase the efficiency/quality of your harvest by:
- Use Summoning ability which will grant you different types of buffs. Remember, Summoning ability = Buff
- Unlock more summons, increase your demon powers, increase your vitality & other attributes when you're at the preparation screen.

Badge & Dagger is a sequel Meteor World Actor (Ryuusei World Actor), so be sure to get the prequel on Johren to maximize your reading immersion & experience!

By far, the best plot-centric release from Frontwing in recent memories and perhaps up to this point of time of the review, easily one of the best VN in 2022.If you're a sucker for Isekai genre which is quite rare for VNs (more so for chance of ENG localization), give this VN a go.

I've read this VN offline and I've raked over 41 hours 26 minutes of reading time (effective hours using ManicTracker, no AFK time). Here's the VN structure in a nutshell:
- 4 heroines, with Yukikaze being the main heroine whereas the rest are sub-heroine
- 4 Chapters in the Common Route. Common route is the longest in which I estimate that it accounts for nearly 2/3 of the story
- Sub-heroine routes are locked behind the 'true route'. In other words, you need to finish all the common route + Yukikaze route (i.e. the true route) before you can read the other sub-heroine routes.
- Sub-heroine routes are relatively shorter than the common & Yukikaze's route, so it may feel rushed & definitely weaker in terms of story compare to Yukikaze's route
- Without spoiling much, it was a roller coaster ride reading through the common route up until the Yukikaze's true ending. The ending was worth it!

Overall, I rate this VN a solid 8.5/10 in terms of fairness; Beautiful artwork for a VN that came out in 2015. Very solid BGM/OST/Soundtracks too! If only the sub-heroines route were more fleshed out, it's an easy 9/10.

This is one of my favorite VN of 2022 release and I urge everyone out there who appreciates a good adventure & are an isekai fanboi to give this VN a try

Waffle is one of my favorite VN developers, and this title did not disappoint. Everything from the Arts to the soundtrack oozes class. ShiraVN did a great job localizing it!

11/10 would love to have amnesia so I can nu-, I mean read it again ;)

WARNING
This game is full of sweetness which could lead to diabetes! But who cares! So much comfiness that makes you wanna go mofu mofu.

Don't worry, even when read in spring, summer nor autumn, you'll still go mofu mofu.
