(ignore playtime, most of mine was on the mobile version and I just imported my save. actual playtime is around 40-50 hours of actual active play if I had to guess)

Peak idle/incremental game. I've played a good few of these and this is literally one of the best I have ever played. You may be put off by there being a microtransaction tab in the game, but don't worry, I never touched that tab a single time and had a great time with the game up until I beat it.

This game has a good few layers of resetting and each gets more elaborate. I'd say the game really kicks into high gear after you get to the second layer of prestige. It has slow portions scattered throughout the game (early ECs, first replicanti run, etc) but aside from those, there is usually SOMETHING you can be doing to make things go faster. I think the best part about this game is it has engaging and unique elements popping up constantly all throughout the game, up until the very end. There is no point where it says "okay, now you've unlocked all the stuff, and now you just have to tediously use this stuff until you reach the end." there is always some new unlock you're progressing towards, so there's always the excitement of whatever thing you'll be unlocking next waiting for you.

It's great! Very solid condensed metroidvania experience if you plan on just winning the game, and if you want to delve into the deeper secrets, the game has lots of that. Somewhat comparable to tunic in that way.

This game had a slightly rough launch with server issues, but those have been fixed now. The only queuing issue that still exists is that if a player doesn't accept a match, the game says it puts you back in the queue, but it doesn't actually. If this happens, cancel the queue, then re-queue.
The biggest issues with the game, in my opinion, are polish and FPS. FPS doesn't go above 60, and lots of little things are unpolished. If you can live with those issues, this is a fun brawly kind of game, it's like league or dota but not uber-complicated.

I had fun, though I don't think I want to do a second playthrough. Other player characters don't seem to have any real difference aside from a very slight re-allocation of a few skill points. They do not have anything unique to them other than starting with a different bonus (which can be obtained with like, 1 skill point on the other characters). My first run was so successful I already completed many questlines, and got halfway through many more, despite spending the first 10 days or so not realizing that I could do more things. I imagine that I could've absolutely crushed the game if I had done things right from the start. Once you know what to expect, the game is fairly tedious, with slow scrolling speed, transitional animations that must be done multiple times per day and can't be skipped, and little sense of tension in the late game. That doesn't mean it's a bad game. It was enjoyable for about 6 hours. I loved the game opening up over time as I unlocked new areas. I'm just not sure if it was worth 20$. I'd recommend this for maybe 10$.

I'm fairly early in the game (like third area), so I'll update this review later. But here are my current thoughts.

So far, I'm thinking I liked the first game more. I liked the graphics more. I liked the quick load times.
The puzzles felt a little meatier, and their design felt extremely intentioned. In this game, there are sometimes superfluous elements to puzzles, and sometimes it feels hard to figure out what your goal even is. In the first game, it was almost always obvious what your end goal in a puzzle is, it was getting there that was hard. I was hoping to enjoy the story more, but so far it's been fairly tedious and straightforward. I don't want to skip it completely, because it might get better, but I also am sick of listening to these stupid robots talk about boring stuff like their cat, or how they really like maps or whatever. Their faces are also super uncanny, I think I liked the more clearly robotic faces in the first game. They did feel a little emotionless, but I think they could've fixed that without going with the weird silicon squishy face method.

This game has crude (and I do mean crude, even for pixel art) graphics. The central mechanic is VERY unique, and it's fun to just hop in with a friend without knowing much. It's unfortunate that this game requires exactly two people who don't know anything, it means that a group with an odd number of players will be left with one person who doesn't get to have a fully blind experience.

It's a fun first person shooter. The flavor is pretty uniquely light-hearted among most shooters. The characters don't die in this story, and instead are playing something like a VR game-show tournament. The gameplay is also very unique, with a dynamic objective and completely breakable environments.

It's not really a horror game in the traditional sense, it's more like a co-op horror-themed tarkov (without the pvp and where the threats are powerful monsters) roguelike. Mods are great with this game, they add joining mid-game and more than 4 player co-op.

Looks simple, but this game is extremely deep and interesting. The graphics may be crude, but if you're a fan of roguelikes, crude graphics are nothing new.
This game has meta progression, but it's optional. In addition to you getting stronger, the game also gets more complex and more variety, which is not exactly a new twist on metaprogression, but it is a welcome one. Isaac did a similar thing, with getting new floor variety and extending runs after winning a bit.
Many of the mechanics intertwine in interesting ways, there are tons of weapons, there is a lot of enemy variety and boss variety, the upgrades are all unique and are almost never just % damage increases.

Honestly I was really surprised by how well-made this game is. I was expecting a disappointingly simple experience, and got a really amazing and deep game instead.
