I have minimal time so far in the game, but ALREADY I feel very compelled to give it a positive review.
Mind you, this review isn't of the game as a whole, but the systems in place that make me want to play it more than I can.
If you're looking for a heavily strategic turn-based combat JRPG, with amazing nostalgic graphics and shaders (think Octopath Traveler), this is the game for you.
They also made a lengthy demo available so you can try it out before you're dying for more.
I'll update if my opinion changes as I play, but so far I'm SO pleased with all the options and quality-of-life features.
The music is SO good too!! Definitely sets a really nice mood for matching the gameplay :)
This is the Final Fantasy SNES game for the overly strategic JRPG-player, and I'm here for it.

We'll start with pros first:
This game is actually really really fun. It's a great mix of a hack and slash and a souls-like game.
There is so much detail in this game and it really shines at times when you least expect it. A good example is the level of detail on most pieces of armor/weapons that you get. Really cool textures!
So much fun to play with friends mostly, and decently solo. If you have a player filling every role, it's perfect for having a great time. Even the glitches are hilarious with friends.
A huge amount of variety in combat!! Yes you only have two "active" "abilities" but you have a ton of other abilities and combos aside from that. This isn't Dark Souls, you don't have 3 things you can do. You have TONS of combos and it's really fun to remember them and use them on the fly without having to have them equipped as abilities.
The story is so great. Cutscenes are amazing. Really excited to keep going on it and see where it goes.

And of course some cons:
Nothing big really, but some typical day 1 bugs. I'm sure they'll work them out over time.
Don't expect to use mouse/keyb for this game, but I highly doubt you would use it for Dark Souls either.
Netcode isn't great, but it actually seemed to get better throughout the day, or with less than 3 players, which makes sense. Still some work they could do on that.

Overall the game is really solid and super fun with a decent group of players. If you like action rpgs and D&D lore, specifically Drizzt story, you'll absolutely love this. The missions are built in a very curated way and the environments are really cool and fun to play in. Bosses can be tough, but they have mechanics you can learn, souls-like, and get better to beat them :)

Just stoked to play some more with some friends!

I basically had to Google how to even write a review for a game in order to post this, but that should tell you how amazing this game is! I've maybe left a review once before but I can't not review this game. The concepts in this game are completely unique and mesmerizing. There's truly nothing like it. The bright colors and the complex puzzles are incredible and really make the game a great masterpiece. This will truly change the way you look at things in real life when you start seeing puzzles everywhere. There is so much replayability because of the insane number of puzzles. The challenges are insane at times but never to the point of frustration. I literally purchased graph paper for the first time since grade school and drew the puzzles I couldn't solve on it so I could try different variations when I wasn't near the game. I'm trying to avoid playing the game for a while so I can go in "blind" again, which is all I want for this game right now. I can't wait to play it again!

Incredible animation. Great idea and exploration factors. This game sucked me in for almost 10 hours in just two days. You have to find out the difference between fighting to get food and staying away so you won't die, which happens a lot. AMAZING GAME OH MY GOSH!!
