It's been nearly 4 years and you still can't bind certain keys however you want, the game forcefully rebinds or unbinds them and breaks your game if it doesn't like your configuration.
It's been nearly 4 years since release and the tank controls still are near-unplayable on the PC version. Halo CE and Halo 2 originally had already a pc port and it played way better than any game in this bundle, not just on the tank, the entire keyboard layout and vehicle gameplay in general too; and you could still change it completely if you wanted. But MCC knows better than you the best way for you to play the game it seems.
I'm also wondering why there's features original to the Halo CE anniversary xbox 360 release that are missing from the version inside.
The season passes and e-sports pandering and linear progression system are still a blight in this game and all of gaming. Oh you unlocked armors through achievements in halo 3 or through credits in halo reach back on the standalone xbox versions? You can't transfer those here, you have to slowly grind and grind and grind and hope the cosmetic you wanted has even been added to the game yet.
343 keeps dropping the ball and Microsoft keeps calling the shots and missing every single one. Don't give your money to them. There are other ways to enjoy classic halo on your pc.

So glad I waited for spring break to launch this title on a friday night, I played it until I got sick, which was sunday at noon.
What's it like, is basically just Castle Crashers as a turn based rts. In that regard, I think you could say there's nothing new here for strategy games or even just The Behemoth, the exact same elements of humour and storytelling, weapon and skill balance, etc. But it's not that I can complain about that.
Something I can complain about, however, is the lack of versatility for the magical races, it's kinda like they made humans that can be virtually anything (except healers), cyclops that can either function as either walking walls or explosive tanks (they even have their own special weapon category) and then ran out of ideas; every other race only serves one purpose and at best can equip some armor. Sure, it makes sense for wraiths to only carry a scythe or for robots to not being able to carry weapons. But it doesn't make sense to me that only cupcakes can heal or that kobolds cannot carry throwable weapons. Maybe it would be too hard to balance? Maybe if humans weren't also versatile to the point that every race but cupcakes are almost redundant it wouldn't be.
My other complain is that when so many characters use the same VA and most of them use the exact same 6 or so dialogues, even Stamper's humorous gibberish can get tedious after some hours. In that regard I think the senseless yapping should be done in shorter but more varied "sentences" and have them randomly mix up when a character speaks.
Also, I wish more quests were on the secondary quests board.

But yeah, it's very fun.

Fun game, not as fun if you don't have people to play with a reliable internet connection, but still fun enough. One complain though is that maybe they went overboard with DLCs that they added just for the sake of crossovers and hype but didn't actually think about too much; so many weapons that are just crappy version of another one or a new weapon that a version of a lot of other bad weapons but actually good on higher difficulties; lots and lots of obsessive grinding for infamy bonuses, mods to make a gun a crappy version of another that already exists, some heists with a bunch of nonsensical objectives put with the purpose of stretching them out... And the idea Overkill has on the concept of increased diffficulty is just awful: just give cops twice the health, damage inversely proportional to their rank/health (the mall cop has higher dps than the elite SWAT), twice the firerate and increase spawn rate.
Yeah, can still be fun, but do check with your friends who already have the game if they would be available or willing to play with you or with the ones who don't have it if they'd be willing to buy it as well. Specially considering that now you have to pay for the whole package (which I don't think it's really worth the price, 70% discount is the minimum I'd accept but it doesn't seem like the bundle will go that low ever).

Early Access Review
Installed game after a whole year of not playing.
Need twice as much time to connect to a game than ever before.
"Brawl" mode was simply unenjoyable, limited by 500 cpu and weapons type like that... why can't we just have tiers again?
Tried playing other gamemodes too, had to wait 2-5 minutes to get a match, every time match got ended immediately because someone "failed to load the match".
Still had to deal with the broken crate reward system nobody likes.
Still had to deal with unbalanced movement parts.
Still had to deal with several blocks being redundant (i.e. radars) or downright useless (i.e. helium)
Uninstalled again.
