A heck of a lot of fun in spite of there now being a new instalment in the franchise! Just note that you won't get the support for this game that will in Farming Simulator 22.

Whilst not the biggest game, K&C is adorable and easy to get into. It is a great entry point into the City Simulator genre, that doesn't require a powerful computer to run either. With this in mind, I highly recommend it to anyone looking to test the waters. My only complaint is the price and highly suggest people pick it up on sale.

Early Access Review
My hubby gifted me a copy of this game after we laughed our butts off watching Quinrex stream gameplay on twitch in the first month after it was released. We tinkered with seeds a bit before we began to throw ourselves into the game. We ended up installing a few mods to allow us to spend more time playing rather than waiting around and/or ferrying materials such as metal to various hubs. Regardless of whether we were using mods, we had a good time.
Small developers may not have the manpower or financial backing, but some small developers manage to far exceed expectations, as was the case when Iron Gate AB released this sucker early this year. Whilst I may not have reached the amount of playtime as some players have, I know that this game will always deliver whenever I load it. The developers are constantly releasing new patches and content, with a focus on keeping in touch with players. The community has also been involved in the release of neat mods to customise the experience for solo and group play. My only issue is that memory leak issue that still appears to be an issue, but not to the level of a certain other game starting with NW.

An accessible and fun to play strategic arena battle game that led to me losing 3 days straight when I recently decided to play it for the first time.

This film managed to do in about five minutes what a lot of films and television shows fail to do in twenty. The story is compelling, with the aesthetics (such as the coloration and camera work) and film score kicking it up a notch. The film-makers also managed to avoid creating a pretentious film, which is pretty damn amazing given how many short films I've seen in recent years that attempt to touch on similar subject matter. But can we expect anything less from the people that made Papers, Please?
In only a few minutes, this short film manages to show the possible outcomes of a landlord dealing with a tenant breaking a new directive banning the use of foreign medication. Each of the choices sucks due to crap governmental policies that nurture back-stabbing and step on personal freedoms. It is easy to understand the motivations of each player, and in turn, care about them. This is punctuated by the black and white, which gives it a gritty film noir appeal. The deliberations are played out with a musical track that almost seems to have been written for the film.

This DLC opens up a lot of extra content for your characters, making for many lengthy game sessions with my eyes glued to the screen. Overall, time well spent. <3

Sims 3 is a lot of fun. However, it is worth getting it in one of the bundles whilst on sale as it can be pricey. In my case, I got the bundle with University Life. Each DLC adds in new mechanics and content that allows you a lot of customization for your Sims.
I would also point out that the in-game store also appears to not be working at present, making quite a few item sets unavailable as you cannot purchase SimPoints. As such, don't rely on this premium content, such as maps.

I have played various MMORPGs over the years, which included several f2p and b2p titles as well as a handful of games with a paid subscription. Sadly, most of these titles failed to keep me engaged for any length of time. Not so with FFXIV. For the first time in more than four years, both my husband and I are now more than happy to pay for a paid subscription to an MMORPG. Why? Because the story is engaging, the class and game mechanics are solid and the graphics are freaking adorable. As mentioned by several people that reviewed this title elsewhere, the game does a great job of teaching the player about the various systems in play as well, avoiding frustration on the part of the player. Next stop: Palace of the Dead. Seriously, who doesn't like tackling an endless, dynamic dungeon with some friends?

I don't mind paying for stuff such as extra character slots, class option and bling, but large sections of content are unavailable unless you pay for it. This locks players out of a lot of the top-end content. As such, I stopped playing what would otherwise be a decent game.

This game was a surprising gem. One often sees rave reviews of certain products that are often misleading. In this case, the reviews reflect the fun of this neat little game. It is an odd mix between a classic 2D platformer and an MOBA, and does it with style.
I found myself enjoying characters that I wouldn't enjoy in other MOBA games. I had expected this trait to continue, but decided to give a melee tank a go anyway. I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome and ended up trying out more as they were unlocked from playing games.
The art style and interface is oddly charming. As such, I now use one of the characters as my avatar and a wallpaper from creating a card set for the game. As for the audio, the voice acting is grin-worthy, with music and effects adding to the 80's cartoon vibe.
