Little bit unpolished and needs some getting used to but was decently fun. Took me 40 hours to win.

Pretty good sequel, beat it one time through on normal and am now doing a second time through on hard. My biggest gripe is the inability to do multiple side quests at the same time (and there's enough side quests that they extend far past the main story line if you do both at the same pace). Also isn't super clear that having any mission running on a territory is far better than none running.

Alot of tedious building placement (20+ per car line with multiple car lines per factory) and their placement doesnt have much strategy or planning involved. 90% of the time you just place them sequentially in a line and they all are functionally the same - they add one part to a car.

Research is mostly picking any random research (after the first 10 good ones they are all the same). All the car research upgrades or part manufacture upgrades are the same (just differ in monetary cost or research time) so it really doesnt matter which one you pick (some are slightly more cost effective for your cars but its not worth the effort to calculate which ones because its so slight). Your "competitors" can get researches but that just means you are required to get them too or your cars don't sell aka it just forces you to research the cheap researches first. Some of the research upgrades for your factory are interesting (those first 10 good ones) but they are less than a quarter of the researches.

You can play through one factory scenario/map in around 5 hours and experience everything the game has to offer in the first 3 hours. None of the other scenarios or maps differ significantly (just even more tedious building placement in the larger maps). Not really any replayability.

Making your own factory in the middle of a park.... While being attacked by aliens....
