Although I originally got this game for the Singleplayer aspect, I have found the best part to be the Multiplayer. This is a game that can create very memorable exchanges as I have found while playing. It can be great fun teaming up with a friend or so and moving through towns and ambushing robots, or having full-blown shoot outs in towns once you've got some weapons. It also lets you use your creative side to solve problems, like using all the tools you have at your disposal to survive. All in all, I would recommend this game primarily for the Multiplayer aspect, however the Singleplayer is entertaining as well if you are patient enough.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU ARE ON MAC.
If not, then I WOULD RECOMMEND this game. From what little I could see, the game was pretty fun.


I would love to give this game a positive review, but I can't. I downloaded it on my mac, started playing, and as soon as I unlocked the darkness powers, it stopped working. The bottom half of my screen was covering in a yellow mist, making the game unplayable. I searched the forums for a solution, BUT THERE IS NONE. According to forums, about 1/2 of all mac users encounter nearly game breaking bugs. Do not take that chance. It seems that even if you have the most updated system, it still might not work.
Again, if you're on pc, game should be good.

This is honestly one of the best games I've ever played. I like small (in the way of MB) games, and this fit the description well. It is short, and is pretty simple, buy satisfying all the same. The end is very sweet and inspiring, and the gameplay is surreal. In short, great game for a quick preview and playthrough. Just takes a few minutes to complete.

My favorite Half Life game. Really. It's actually really fun to just mess around on because it's just one small map. It can be speed runn(ed) in anywhere to 45 seconds to three minutes. You can easily discover all of its secrets and glitches, and overall is a very fun game.
While you're at it, buy Half Life 2.

I am a huge fan of Half Life 2 (And its episodes. And the first game. And its expansions). I am also a huge fan of Valve's other popular FPS games (TF2, CS:GO). But, I am not a fan of this game. In fact this is one of the worst (Valve) games I have ever played. It is very, very unbalanced and not very optimized. It was hard for me to play at all on their servers. Plus, there would always be people running around with the .357, which, if you didn't know, is an instakill to the head. The items that you start off with do very little damage, and the gravity gun is practically useless. If you wanted gameplay featured in this game, just play Half Life 2: its got the same weapons, but its much more balanced. Please, save your money, and buy a different game. This one is too unbalanced and not friendly to new players.

I was just walking down the street, peckin' at some grain like the chicken I am, when 5 massive guys in body armor holdin' massive machine guns come runnin' down the road at me. Instantly, they all start shootin' at me with their big guns, an' I just dropped down dead like that. I couldn' even defend myself, I could just slowly hop away. Terribly unbalanced game (if you're a chicken). I would not recommend this game (if you're a chicken). Bawk! Bawk!

PS. If you aren't a chicken, it's pretty balanced.

This is an amazing game. Even though it is rather old, it is still one of the best games I have ever played. You should definitely get it. It has a good storyline and gameplay mechanics.
