Received this for free since I owned the game before it went free. Honestly this update changed the whole game for me and I really enjoy it way more now

To be honest I had quite high expectations from this game as I pre-ordered it months in advance, and I have been waiting for such a game for a while.

After playing for a week straight I can say that I am enjoying it quite a lot and I indent to keep playing. It is true, there are still bugs, but I managed to find ways to work around them for the time being. Also, you could argue that the potential was not met: I agree, there was room for a lot of great features, but the game still feels well put together and especially for people who enjoy it's RPG aspects it is definitely worth playing.

Price wise, I do not regret that I spent 60 bucks on the Premium Edition and I will probably invest in the DLCs as well, especially once they release a few hot-fixes for the bugs. If after watching a play-through you are still not decided whether you'd enjoy it, I'd recommend waiting for a sale to buy it.

Still, I'd give it a 7/10 in the current state.

This game did a really good job at putting together aspects from the Mount and Blade franchise as well as some other good ones such as Chivalry Medieval Warfare, taking the best parts out of them and creating an immersive multiplayer experience. The game play is pretty complex, and it takes a while to get to a point where you are actually competitive.

Even though most players are already much higher in level, I have not managed to spot any pay to win aspects. Me and my friend are still having a lot of fun and we'd recommend it to anyone that has enough patience to understand they cannot win from the beginning.

I've been playing this series since Arma 2 and honestly it offers so many possibilities that I think it can fit anyone who is into military related games. The amount of available content for the game is incredible and it is still growing. It is an amazing game and I can't wait for any news on Arma 4.
