As much as I enjoyed this game, the technical state is still not up to snuff closing in on a year after release. I often encountered stutters and large frame drops and nothing I tried alleviated the issue. I genuinely enjoyed the game though. So if the issues are resolved at some time in the future then it's a worthwhile pickup if you enjoyed the first one.

For reference my specs are
Ryzen 7 5800x3d
RTX 3080
16gb of RAM
The game is installed on my SSD.

Early Access Review
The only game that lets me feel the vampire rage of losing my new toy with a stray arrow. Kudos SLS. I won't forgive you this.

Well, I just finished my first playthough and I'm sure I missed as much, if not more than what I saw. And for all that I have to say that Elden Ring is a masterpiece. I haven't been this engrossed into a game ever since I played the original Gothic. The world design is impeccable, the bosses are great with some minor exceptions and the gameplay is awesome. The PC optimization needs work, there are stutters that are easily reproducible, but other than that it plays pretty well. The framerate seems stable in bossfights and if it's not I haven't noticed any dips, and that's what matters the most.

Most importantly after finishing the game I don't have this hollow feeling as I did with Dark Souls III, this feeling like there should be more. The world if so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ full with stuff to do, places to see, people to meet. I think I completed only one or two questlines during this playthrough.

As I was playing I felt multiple times that: "Yeah, this is pretty big I think I've seen most of the map by now." Only to find another map fragment and see there is still so much to see. At a certain point I was terrified to discover more because the amount of areas in this game just shouldn't be possible. How in the holy name of ♥♥♥♥ has From pulled this off.

For my parting words I can only say that you should play Elden Ring, is the game difficult? Yes, is it impossible to complete? No. You will fail over and over, but after you finally succeed the victory will be all the sweeter. In the words of my favorite Dark Souls message, Don't give up, skeleton!

The Longing is weird. It's not fun, it's not engaging and there isn't really that much of a game to play, but it has a concept and it executes on it perfectly. If you want an experience you will not get anywhere else I can't recommend The Longing enough. It's hard to write anything about a game that is about spending time alone waiting, if you want a recommendation look at my game time. I spent 130 hours in a beautifully crafted cave, waiting, walking. And I loved every hour of it.

Played a 4 player game and it worked great, the visuals are great and the scripting works well, not sure if the 2 player version works properly yet.

I love WoD and have spent a lot of my time playing WoD games, but I cannot recommend this game. I like it and I like what it setup a lot, but there is just no meat on the bones it built up. The story ends right as it started to go somewhere and it feels like 4 hours of setup for no payoff.

I like the game, it is fun, but I cannot recommend anyone to buy it because of the terrible optimization. Once this gets resolved I will gladly recommend the game.

Cultist Simulator is a game that is definetely not for everyone. If you enjoy transparent storytelling, high paced action scenes and cool british one liners this game is definetely not for you. Maybe except for the last one. Probably not.

Cultis Simulator is a great game about discovery, yearning and a probability of apocalypse. There is not much I can say without spoiling anything because the game is a bunch of text boxes. Very interesting text boxes.

It is a lot of trial and error gameplay, yet its interesting with every new playthrough. It is very easy to get overwhelmed so take your time and do not fear death, for it will come many a time.

As for the mandatory Dark Souls allusion, Cultist Simulator is the Dark Souls of single-player, tabletop card games. Basically the Dark Souls of Solitaire.

Ok so here is my short story. I wanted to try this game with my friend so we downloaded it jumped in and started playing after completing the tutorial he decided to be a warrior with shield and I decicded that I would support him and heal him in battle. This went in interesting ways. Firstly the game would not let me heal him because I was a fledgeling, then it would not let me heal him because I didnt tick the box that I can target blue players. I repeat I wanted to heal him at to top it all off when I finally ticked the box and healed him suddenly a guy with a huge sword came running at me and instantly killed me and then proceeded to kill my buddy. I thought that there was a mechanic that for the first day other players cant attack you until you attack someone else, but welp :D and another thing that both of us encountered when we wanted to chop down a tree. We equiped our axes and came to tree, we pressed R and both of us got a comparisson box instead chopping wood. Words cannot describe the experience we had playing this game, but numbers can 3/10
