This game owns. I never played the original, so the free-flying FPS gameplay feels fresh to me. The ship has that little bit of momentum that makes movement a joy and artform. It's a fun challenge trying to shoot at the moving enemies and getting behind cover to avoid rocket tank attacks. The level design is very fun! At times the objectives can be a bit arcane (c'mon, bank vault!!!) but overall they hold up quite well. The music is super sick too.

In 2025 this game feels fresh and unique.

I've only played about 15 of the games so far, and there is something to love about every single one of them. Most of these games are more individually more creative and interesting than most games I've played in recent memory. The music and graphics are wonderful. This is the most generous game I've ever played.
