The amazing endorphin rush you get after beating a titan that you died so often to after having to figure out how to hit their weak spot is amazing. The fights are high risk high reward, so every fight has this super satisfying feeling to it when you play it for the first time.

This is an excellent asymetric war game with a faction that players of different skill levels can start playing and keep having challenging games between each other. The factions play very differently and the adorable art style almost makes you forget that this is a game about position and politics.

Never felt lost, enjoy the boss fights and keep having a lot of fun exploring the world. Love it!

Shame on me that I haven't finished this game in 2012 when I bought it!

How many games are out there that do so many things right as Bastion? If there are, it can't be that many.

I love that an ActionRPG let's me just enjoy the story and gameplay and doesn't force me to grind for XP and new gear to continue. The graphics and the narrator had so much influence on my motivation to finish the story, Even the ruins of Caelondia look so beautiful, and Rucks memories of the place really made me want to undo the Calamity. Sidequest don't feel like a burden at all, even though they're optional I really enjoyed playing through Weapon Challenges and "Who knows where"s because of the challenge and for the background informations on side characters and the Kid.

The weapons feel great, the control mechanics really match the different type of weapons. The upgrades allow enough weapon customization to match your playstyle, and playing through the game with any combination of weapons is not only possible, the game won't set you back because you're using the starting weapons in the last level.

The narrator allone is worth it for you to pick this game up. Even in New Game + his comments on my every move didn't get old, I love his calm deep voice and prefer this way of storytelling to big budget cutscenes. The story itself is not too complex but very enjoyable.

This game is best compared to the first matrix movie: The whole package! Story, graphics and gameplay work peferctly together, but every part of it is great for itself.
