Somehow even better than the first game. It's like a way more polished and flushed out version of the first game. Everything that made the first game great was taken and built upon even further.

Absolutely iconic and nostalgic. You get cake at the end, it's great.

My boyfriend introduced me to this game. At first, I wasn't even that into it. Some time had passed and I revisited it. I was hooked. I'd say definitely give this game a second chance if you're not into it the first time around. I'm pretty sure this was my first true visual novel I'd ever played. If you want to take your time reading and totally immerse yourself in the world and the characters, you'll enjoy this game. It's the most unique in terms of the characters and their development throughout the game, environments, art style, and mystery solving. What drives you to keep playing is the strong desire to know what is going on and you become invested in the characters. Your mind will run wild trying to predict what's going on, who will die next, and who will be the next killer. You can talk to characters and get closer to them. This will give you some insight into who they truly are and why. The class trials are so much fun. Trying to shoot down contradictions with truth bullets. It's fun when you find out who the killer is and you get to see the weird & absurd execution animation. I will admit that the ending was not very satisfying to me, so if you're super hooked, you should play the other games, watch the anime, and read the short stories & manga. This game made me realize that I love visual novels.

This game is a special one. Great voice acting. It explores relationships, monogamy, and cheating. It makes you reflect on your own life choices and opinions. Beautiful anime cutscenes, which I LOVE. You can choose between Catherine or Katherine. In other words, you can choose to be an angel or a devil. I feels part anime, part puzzle, and part walking around the bar talking to characters. I'm into every aspect of the experience. I mean, when you're in the bar, it's like a break from all of the craziness. The puzzles are the highlight of the game. I'm a big puzzle person. You may have a few rage moments and fall to your death, but overall it's a fun challenge.

Play this game!!! This one quickly became one of my favorites. The colorful & fun energy draws you in. This is the one true inline skating game. I mean, it's jankier than a Tony Hawk game or SSX, but I don't mind at all. It's so unique. Whether any jankiness was intentional or not, I love the feel of the game. I had a few rage moments, but it just motivated me to try and complete the level. It's so much fun skating through the cel shaded environments. The characters are so cool and I want to learn their dance moves in real life. The music is funky as hell and helps you keep a good flow in any level. I get to skate around and graffiti buildings. Makes me want to put my skates on!!!

Even though this game does not take itself very seriously, it has some seriously interesting aspects to it. The early 2000s mall aesthetic is unmatched. I can go into every store. I love the fact that I have a watch that tells me where I have to be at a specific time, and if I’m not there, game over. It makes it feel like I’m really just playing the story at more of a real-time kind of pace. It follows a 72-hour schedule. You usually have time in between events and can complete optional side missions and bosses. The bosses are actual psychopaths, don’t even get me started on the clown. The uncanny NPC faces are a meme, but also creepy. This game allows you to run through vast hordes of zombies, so many zombies. Sometimes the AI is janky when it comes to rescuing survivors, but it adds to the challenge for me. The chainsaw is OP, but I’m not going to keep running back and forth just to get it, so it’s balanced. You get points by taking pictures with your camera and that's how you level up. That reminds me of the Fatal Frame series. This game gives you a sense of freedom and choice. There are so many weapons to choose from, you can be creative about it. I can choose which zombies I want to fight and like I said earlier, some bosses are optional. There are different endings that depend on how you play the game.

A classic indie game. 3D spaces in a 2D environment is something really special. This game offers a new and unique perspective that kept me coming back for more. Surprisingly, I feel like I would still enjoy this game if it was just 2D. I'm not usually interested in 2D side-scrollers, so that's saying a lot. Lovely atmosphere and soundtrack. "Compass" is the BEST track. Makes me feel nostalgic and emotional. I love how the music changes when you go behind objects, it's a nice touch. The map is a little confusing, only because of how many branches there are. Still a cool design though. No fast travel, not counting small warp gates and secret doors, which kinda require some memorization. Not every game needs fast travel, but maybe some players don't want to spend time running back and forth. Also the game requires a bit of deciphering that the player has to figure out on their own, if they want to complete everything. There are many secrets. That can be fun for some people, and frustrating for others. Overall I love this game. It is unique and very chill. I have fun running around, collecting cubes. It's super satisfying. If I'm struggling with a puzzle, I'll just come back to it later on and keep enjoying the cute and peaceful world.

In what other game can I roll up objects within a specified amount of time, while listening to Shibuya-kei music??? There are no other games. It is so uniquely fun. You don't expect it to be so much fun until you play. This game makes me feel so happy every time I play it, it's adorable. The king is always saying random comedic things. I love all of the cousins. Everything here is spewing with creativity. Also the menu screen/hub area is one of the best in any video game.

Edit: I forgot to add that I've never played the original PS2 version, I really want to. I'm not exactly sure how true reroll is to the original. I'll write about the experience once I've played it!

We need more parkour games like this. It feels so fun and different. If you're anything like me, you'll instantly become obsessed. Me and my boyfriend love to do speedruns and see who can get a better time, it's so much fun. I love the overexposed aesthetic too. The story isn't that memorable for me, but I don't play this game for the story. This game doesn't need a crazy story. Honestly, when I'm on the treadmill at the gym, I like to pretend that I'm Faith running on the rooftops LOL. I think she's so cool, even though her character doesn't have a crazy amount of depth to her. I'm literally staring at a poster of her on the wall as I write this...

I really don't have anything bad to say about this game. The visuals are beautiful. The music is beautiful. The story is wholesome. I also get to solve puzzles. (Some were rage, but I love this game so much that it doesn't even matter.) Pair all of these things together and I get the chills. Beautiful game.
