The game was good until the baseball arc. I really think they overdid it with adding this guy's story in, I was ready for the finale. Doing it anyway, regretting it severely. I'm burnt out on this, but I'm here for Kiryu. I'll update when I beat the game (maybe).

The best game in the franchise.
Without a shadow of a doubt.

Still to this day I have not beaten this game but I still recommend it cos it's a cult classic.
It has everything you want in a fantasy RPG.

I will always recommend this masterpiece.

If you're fine with playing the game at medium to high settings on an RTX 30 series card then have at it.
It's a really fun game, I just wish it ran better on PC. But don't let that deter you, I have a smooth experience, and in four hours of uninterrupted gameplay I have not crashed once.

- TEKKEN 8 comes out next month, on January 24th, 2024.
- This game uses Unreal Engine 4, TEKKEN 8 uses Unreal Engine 5
- This game is very barebones, compared to the content offered with TEKKEN 8
- This game's fighting mechanics are vastly different in TEKKEN 8 with the added heat mode, not worth investing in T7
- Story is delivered by somebody you don't care about (random a$$ Journalist)
- If you have seen Tekken 8 you can assume what happened in this game
- This game does not have crossplay so the longevity of it is decaying extremely, you will need to find a group just to play online soon enough, TEKKEN 8 will have crossplay at launch, so much so that it even had crossplay during the playtests (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S)!
- Ironically, if you take away the things like wearing a big catfish on your head or a flag on your back, or an oversized baseball bat, customization is extremely limited (kinda subjective, some people might like what's to offer, others like me may want normal stuff or cool fits altogether and not just 1 main, 1 alt fit, 1 random fit that might be hit or miss n some metallic (shiny) version of all 3)
- This game is so old that Final Fantasy XV/15 was still being hyped up in this time period, meaning it might not age well

Also complaining about Tekken 7 matchmaking in ranked is crazy, I see these other reviews saying smurfs got alt accounts to beat up newer players but in reality when you level your main it brings up the levels of your alts every so often but they are still low level enough to get matched with 1st Dan 2nd Dan etc. Even Brawler gets matched with initiate and 4th Dan etc. So that's a silly argument. Don't listen to them.

Overall, I loved the game at the time, not nearly as much as Tekken 6 or Tag Tournament 2, but I loved it, cos it's Tekken. But with Tekken 8 coming out, get that instead, I'm sure you can find some preorder deals.

It appears they have let me customize my firearms with different colors, which was my main complaint about f2p shooters where they follow the CSGO/CS2 format of charging for customization.

This game does that too, just not as much. It's also really fun when you play as a LIGHT contestant or HEAVY, medium is ass. It's generic and boring, everyone dashes n grapple hooks around and all I can do is shoot an AR for 20 bullets n heal some guy next to me.

The soundtrack is fun and the game's tournaments mode is really interesting. This is like the new Overwatch, if I had to say a game that replaced it as a mainstream fun shooter.

Love this game, made a joke to my friend across the pond about how I sound like Captain Diabetes from South Park with my root canal treatment and the numbness around the tooth / gum, so I thought about the series and then decided to redownload Stick of Truth, definitely replaying this one lol

Months of nothing just for them to only give "kross"-play now? really bruh?
Tekken 8 released with this. They been out a fraction of the time of MK1 and they got a fight pass, a tekken shop, a lounge to hang with friends, the latter at launch sure, but what did mk1 have to show for it? If not for the characters, mis-en-scene (collectivity of music, environment, props) that create the MK atmosphere, the cinematic cutscenes, this game would be a flop. It's a short term game. I know I am professional yapstah' right now but it's fax. bad game. go for tekken instead!

Despite what anybody says this game is worth it. But I would get the premium edition and do it on sale, so you can get it marked up closer to the retail price of the base game. Big brain move.
Story is amazing, characters are loveable and you begin to associate personality traits with characters you choose to play as, once beating story. And invasions are a nifty little side-game to encourage you to play to earn cosmetics. No pay to win in that regard. They added 1 halloween & 1 thanksgiving fatality & 1 christmas fatality, that's it. yet everyone is on their @ss about "Warner Bros are forcing us to buy fatalities!!! WTF!!" not true. Play games for yourself and gain an understanding. I still havent spent my premium currency in the shop cos theres nothing interesting to get. So the game is definitely not pay to win. There's like 8 things to buy from store with premium currency, the rest is to play to get, through silver coins earned on invasion and tower.

those 8 things, out of them, 3 are seasonal fatalities, 3 are palettes and 2 are outfits, one being a retro sub zero skin.
the game is great, as for store, outside of kombat pack, you are really not forced to buy anything. Anyone with fomo over this sh*t just has poor self control.
