Introduction
Son of Nor is third person sci-fi action adventure game. The story/lore in Son of Nor is very unique/intriguing and is the main thing that pulled me to play it. The story is very great, but there are so issues I have with this game. Two of the big things is the fact that the multiplayer is so dead, and the voice acting is very bland at times. With this being said the intriguing story, platforming, puzzles and cool telekinetic powers (Pick up stuff to throw and terraform sandy areas) really pulled me in to play and keep playing. I really just wish multiplayer had a place, but unfortunately its dead as of now.
Pros

  • Cool mechanics
  • Interesting story
  • Interactive environments
  • Awesome Co-op
  • Sandbox/Proving Ground mode
  • Plenty of graphics options
  • Great controller and Keyboard/mouse support

Cons

  • Dead multiplayer
  • Voice acting is bland at times
  • A few performance issue (I had none, but I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about it)
  • Combat is a bit clunky

Conclusion

Son of Nor is really fun and a great experience, but does have a few problems. (Nothing game breaking or completely annoying) The multiplayer seems completely dead, but the single player and co-op is really where this game shines. If you are looking for a really cool story with great puzzles, platforming, and powers, this is the game for you. I thoroughly enjoyed myself nearly every second while playing Son of Nor

Introduction
Millennium - A New Hope a beautiful RPG Maker game. The story follows Marine a girl how refuses to accept her fate as a peasant. She decides to fight back and challenge Lords of Mystrock. There is not much to say about the game elements in Millennium - A New Hope, all of the games mechanics/elements are all great and solid. This is a basic stand JRPG, there is not really any catches or massive differences. The only thing that I didn’t really care for in this game is the fact that the NPCs are very bland and generic. If you are a big fan of the typical old-school JRPGs Millennium - A New Hope is a game for you.
Pros

  • Well-made RPG/JRPG
  • Great price
  • Awesome assets
  • Controller support
  • Tons of content for the price
  • Awesome music
  • Interesting story

Cons

  • NPCs feel very generic
  • Lots of dialogue seems unnecessary
  • Typical RPG Maker game
  • Limited graphics option

Conclusion

Millennium - A New Hope is a beautiful old school JRPG that has the typical gameplay that everyone loves. The NPCs dialogue is very bland and generic, but the story is very interesting and will pull you in. The best part of Millennium - A New Hope is the fact that this game is so cheap. It’s a great value and I would highly recommend picking up Millennium - A New Hope, especially if you enjoy old school JRPGs.

Introduction
World of Diving is an amazingly beautiful and relaxing diving simulator. I found myself just wandering/swimming around the different levels just looking at the beautiful ocean life and ship wreaks. World of Diving is a great break from the usual fast-paced shooters, but it is not without faults. The in game “dive shop”, where you buy customizations, is filled with micro-transactions. Although you can unlock everything without buying it with real world money, the prices in the dive shop are very inflated. Along with the inflated prices, the updates are very slow coming. World of Diving also supports VR and player created content. (I’m waiting for steam workshop to be implemented) Even with the faults of this game, the multiplayer is a huge reason to buy this. It is tons of fun exploring the ocean with a few other friends.

Pros

  • Beautiful graphics
  • Several varied maps/locations
  • Easy and fun multiplayer
  • Tons of customizations
  • Beautiful and interactive ocean life
  • Plenty to do
  • Very relaxing
  • VR support

Cons

  • Requires secondary sign-in
  • Micro-transactions
  • Very slow movement
  • Slow updates
  • Repetitive “objectives”

Conclusion

World of Diving is a beautiful and relaxing diving simulator, but it is not without faults. There is a few issues with buying customizations and as well as the fact of the updates are taking forever to come out. Even with the few issues (will most likely be fixed before release) the multiplayer is a huge asset for World of Diving. If you are looking for a relaxing game to play by yourself or with friends this is for you. Don’t expect anything fast paced and exciting.

Introduction
Pneuma: Breath of Life is an amazing puzzle and thought provoking game. This game is like a mix of Portal (puzzle elements) and Stanley Parable (Comedic style with serious elements). The puzzles are not super easy, but not extremely hard. (It will take some time to figure some of the later puzzles out) (It also has some harder “secret” puzzles) Pneuma: Breath of Life does not only have superb puzzles, but it also has a great comedic and later though provoking tone. Jay Britton does a superb job with voice acting the main character. With the gorgeous graphics, great puzzles, comedic, and thought provoking tone, Pneuma: Breath of Life is a hidden gem that everyone should at lead play though once. The only thing that I could find bad about this game is the fact of how short it is. I really hope the developers decide to make another game that expands on Pneuma: Breath of Life or add more content/ bonus levels to the current game.
Pros

  • Great Puzzles
  • Comedic
  • Thought provoking ending
  • Stunning graphics
  • Great controller support (as well as keyboard/mouse)
  • VR support
  • Neat “secret puzzles”
  • Awesome voice acting done by Jay Britton

Cons

  • A bit too short
  • No borderless windowed mode
  • Very linear
  • Abrupt ending

Conclusion

Pneuma: Breath of Life is an amazing hidden gem. It’s not only a puzzle game, but a comedic and though provoking story of self-discovery. The only thing that could be said bad about Pneuma: Breath of Life is that is short and linear. I wouldn’t say this game is for everyone, but if you ever see Pneuma on sale you shouldn’t give it a second thought. BUY IT.

Introduction
Karate Master 2 Knock Down Blow is fighting/arcade game. It gives everyone nostalgia with the great retro feel. The gameplay is very fun, from the fighting to the minigames. Some opponents have different fighting styles and this makes the game a lot more varied, but the grindy nature of this game is a huge turn-off for me. The cheesy 90s take on this game makes it very funny and interesting to play and with mash of game genres, Karate Master 2 Knock Down Blow is tons of fun. The only real issues anyone will have with game is the fact that it’s grindy at times and the repetitive music.
Pros

  • Retro style
  • Comedy
  • Cool fighting mechanics
  • Good price
  • Free mode to practice
  • Fun minigames

Cons

  • Repetitive at times
  • Bad keyboard support
  • Repetitive music

Conclusion

Karate Master 2 Knock Down Blow is a retro fighting/rpg/karate/arcade game that has great minigames, brutal fighting, retro style, and cheesy 90s gameplay. With a 9.99 USD price tag, Karate Master 2 Knock Down Blow is tons of fun and if you like cheesy retro fighting games this is a must have for you.

Introduction
A Small World 2 is the digital adaptation of the popular board game A Small World. Simply put a Small World 2 is a huge land grab that requires a decent amount of thought and strategy. It also has a great tutorial for beginners and multiple game modes. (Solo, Pass’nplay, Local game, and online arena) Along with multiple game modes, it allows for 2-5 player in most game modes. Small World 2 also has three dlc that add different and cool races/combos. Small World 2 is very fun, but the only thing that really bothers me about this game is that it is very obvious that the game is made for mobile devices. This is not a huge issue, but this is very obvious and I thought it should be said.
Pros

  • Fun gameplay
  • Addictive
  • Requires some strategy to win
  • Great AI opponents
  • Skipable AI turns
  • Plenty of Race/combos
  • Online gameplay
  • Local Co-op

Cons

  • Made for tablet/phone (Pass and play mode)
  • No full screen mode
  • Some overpowered combos

Conclusion

Small World 2 is a great game that is fun to play with friends and even the AIs. The dlcs adds diversity to the race/combo selection. With all the different game modes and different races/combos to play with/against, I highly recommend Small World 2 to anyone that wants to have fun with friends or just by themselves. Small World 2 is a great adaptation the real life board game Small World.

Introduction
Rising World is a large sandbox voxel based creation game and comes with single player and multiplayer. I went into Rising World thinking it was going to be just another Minecraft clone like the disappointing Castle Miner z, but I was really surprised how well this game plays. Rising World is in alpha and is still missing a lot of the polish and features, but that being said Rising World as so much potential. Rising World’s terrain is not block/cube based, and the blocks used for creating building/ect are much more varied which allows for much more creativity. (Block, cylinder, half cylinder, stairs type 1/2, ramp, ramp corner, and ramp inner corner) Along with all the different block shapes that game has tons of other cool items: Poster (used to upload a custom image to the game), trashcans, ladders, and different weapons/tools. Even whilst being in alpha, Rising World gives you so much to do, and it isn’t anywhere near what it’s going to be. I am very excited to see where Rising World goes is in the future.

Pros

  • Shows tons of promise
  • Non-blocky terrain
  • Regular updates
  • Better graphics compared to other voxel based games
  • Tons of blocks
  • Many block variants
  • Well-made multiplayer
  • Simple building

Cons

*** This game is in alpha. I expect most if not all of the cons to be fixed before a full release or sooner***
  • Player models are not very pretty
  • Crafting is very limited at this time
  • Some game modes are not yet implemented yet
  • No enemies to fight in single player
  • The animations seem generic

Conclusion

Rising World is a great voxel based creation/survival game that is in alpha. The terrain is not blocky like Minecraft and this is going to be a huge upside for a lot of people, but Rising World has a long way to go before it can compete with larger voxel based games. If you’re willing to wait awhile for it to be finished, Rising World shows tons of potential and it’s absolutely worth getting into now.

Introduction
It Came From Space, and Ate Our Brains is a top down shooter where you fight waves of aliens trying to eat your brains. I was skeptical with going into this game because of the blocky style graphics, but I was pleasantly surprised. It Came From Space, and Ate Our Brains has plenty of different guns/upgrades, maps, powerups, and different aliens. Along with the six maps currently there is more on the way and 4 different difficulties that are vastly different. The only real issue with It Came From Space, and Ate Our Brains is the fact of the camera gets blocked by map structures, but this issues is far and in between. Triangle Studios really has a hidden gem with It Came From Space, and Ate Our Brains, from the unique graphics style to the fun multiplayer.

Pros

  • Varied weapons
  • Different types of aliens
  • Varied maps
  • Insanely fun multiplayer
  • Online leaderboards
  • Interesting graphic style
  • Varied difficulty setting
  • Great Dev team

Cons

  • No borderless windowed mode
  • Camera gets blocked sometimes

Conclusion

It Came From Space, and Ate Our Brains is a chaotic top down shooter that is tons of fun, and is even more fun with friends. With six different guns all with four different upgrades, leaderboards, multiplayer, and six different maps, It Came From Space, and Ate Our Brains has tons of replay value. I can 100% recommend for you to get this amazingly fun game.

Introduction
Catacomb Kids is the Dark souls of the roguelike 2D platformers. If you mess up just a little bit in this game, it punches you in the gut and kicks you in the teeth. Randomly generated catacombs and randomly made characters make the game infinitely fun. Right now Catacomb Kids is in Early Access, but there is tons on different variants in the game. (Weapons, shields, armor, potions, catacombs layouts, and different types of magic.) Right now there is only two classes with more on the way in future updates. Along with all the single player features, there is a verses mode with eight different arenas, but there is only local co-op and verses an AI. The only bad thing that I can say about this game is that there is no setting for changing the difficulty.
Pros

  • Versus mode
  • Randomized catacombs
  • Randomized playable character
  • No game breaking glitches
  • Great controller support
  • No performance issues

Cons

  • Can be too hard for some
  • Very unforgiving
  • Barely any display options

Conclusion

Catacomb Kids is a brutally fun roguelike game, but it could be too hard for some people. It really needs a difficulty setting. Catacomb Kids has almost unlimited replay value because it has randomly generated playable characters and catacombs. In the end, Catacomb Kids is 100% worth a buy even in Early Access, and there is more content on its way to make this game worth it even more.

Introduction
Cubical Quest is an old school RPG that was funded through Kickstarter. The game plays just like an old RPG like final fantasy (reminds me of the turnbased combat and world exploration), and , but the art style does seem generic. The story of Cubical Quest is a huge joke on everyday life. A few examples of this are: Your party members are called roommates, the enemies have ironic names (Trivial Relationship, Fear of intimacy), beating a boss gives you a “promotion”, and the big bad is the Debt Alliance. The game even is self-aware and references real life things. Ex: “To comply with Nintendo censorship standards, I am required to say the substance in the bottles behind me is juice.” And “Hello there, cliché RPG child running in circles.” Cubical Quest isn’t innovative, but the comedy/jokes/self-references make this game very entertaining. The huge issue for me is all of the sprites seem very generic and out of place. (Fear of Intimacy is a green bat gargoyle thing)
Pros

  • Self-aware jokes
  • Typical fun old school RPG gameplay
  • Great comedy
  • Unique items/upgrades
  • Everything references real life problems (self-esteem, paperwork, and whine)
  • Comedic look at the “everyday” life in the form of an old RPG

Cons

  • Generic sprites
  • Not many graphic options
  • No voice acting

Conclusion

Cubical Quest is an old school RPG that creates a unique comedic look at everyday life. The game’s assets do seem generic, but the funny dialogue and good old RPG gameplay make up for the generic seeming assets. If you are a fan of the old RPG games, this is definitely a game you should pick up.
