Let me tell you a story. It starts like this: Have you ever walked on the land of the dead?

This world is not even real at all, Its just a vision pulled over our eyes エル・プサイ・コングルゥ

I lost my mother when I was a very young child. My father, a very strong man, by the community. I watched him slowly distance himself.

Then, I watched as my best friend and rival sacrificed himself to save me. I took the clock he gifted me as he lay dying and promised to protect my other best-friend.

My best-friend was kidnapped by some people and forcefully changed into a suicide bomb. As I tried to save her, she died by explosion.

Not only I couldn't my only remaining friend, best-friend and potential love interest, I broke the promise I made to my dead best-friend.

After that I became a ruthless triad for the country and became a high class. My senior and only remaining figure saved me from that life and made me a personal guard. Then, on the one day I was given off from duty, I watched as both of them were killed.

Then I watched as my coworker, who I should have trained and stopped, killed his whole family.

I lost every single person that ever meant anything to me and instead of you, who lost everything at once, I was forced to watch as everyone was slowly dragged away from my life, unable to do anything about it.

Sure, you lost some things, but I doubt you were friendly with too many people outside of your family and your anger is basically because its hard to go back.

Kid, please don't preach to the choir about loss, anger and vengeance. I don't even have a physical enemy to take revenge on, unlike you, and had to deal with suffering in silence for years.

Calling my buddies who were partying and asks them to tell the worst part about their lives .

One woke up to his father dead (hanged himself ) when he was a kid , had to lower the body and clean it himself .
One who had an abusive father and his mom had to prostitute herself to feed the family .
One who's sister got raped by someone (can't remember )
One their father took a life insurance policy on them and was planning to kill them.

I'll tell you that your problems are too small, sure dealing with it is hard for a kid, but look at these guys, they had it much more difficult and THEY STILL manage to smile, live and enjoy their lives .

BUT!!!

I've spent many times exploring the land. Once upon a time, that land was a smaller, duller, lonelier place. I explored it anyway.

Yes, once upon a time, the land was incomplete and broken. But I explored it anyway.

As the months and years crept by, I'd leave the land to do other things. Other times and other places - and not a few real world problems - took me away from seeing what there was to see on the next pale dot in the sky. As the time passed, the land changed. It grew, it drew itself together, coalesced like a cloud of stardust into what it was always meant to be. And I explored it.

From building a base of operations to piloting my first aircraft; taking on the captaining of a freighter, and diving into the secrets only a water world can keep. I found new friends in the Anomaly, and I crept through dead, haunted ships floating forgotten among the silent sea fields. Hundreds of lands, dozens of systems, always looking past the horizon to the next thing to see, and remembering all the unforgettable things I had gone through in who knows how many Iterations. What's my goal today? Creep a little closer to whatever lies at the center of things, crash through a island and see where chance takes me? Maybe investigate that weird land on the far end of the earth, or see if I can't track down that last life form I haven't seen before I head back to the sea. Always another discovery to make, another milestone to reach, if you'll explore. Just like I do.
