So, the greatest part of this game is overall quantity and uniqueness of aircrafts and tanks (I'm not gonna write here about ships, cause I've never really played them)

Not gonna lie, I had a fun time playing war thunder years earlier. No tryharding, just calm games with my friend on P-40 kittyhawk. But that's not the case anymore. Putting more and more time in this game, grinding further and further I realized that you simply can't survive without using premium vehicles and/or premium account.

Of course you can say that there is no other game, in which without modding you can try sooo many vehicles and planes. And it cant be true from one side. But from the other? You can't really try it here without hours, weeks and even months of grinding.
For instance, in order to unlock and play F-4E Phantom - you have to marry, raise your children, after that, your children will have to raise their own children and MAYBE THEN you will be able to play it.
OR!
Developers have a nice deal for you!
Buy premium aircraft with rank IV and two weeks of premium account. And two weeks later you will be sitting in your brand new F-4E struggling to unlock AIM-9J

This game is as simple as it even possible
Want to have a lot of silver lions, unlock all tree in two weeks and not having a hard time playing it - donate your money.
And if you don't wanna donate - SSS (Sweat, Struggle and Suffer)

You can play a bit in arcade battles, without tryharding, it's ok, but I don't really recommend getting used to it and put more and more hours in it. Just don't.
Like simulator battles? Buy IL-2 Sturmovik or download DCS instead.

I used to have fun without tryharding, but then I got to the diamond rank. That's the end of fun part, IMHO .

In order to have fun - you have to win.
In order to win - you have to put hundreds of hours in trainings and learning tons of fancy things.
And if you don't train and excercise - you gonna suck ass.
And as we all know, sucking ass is the opposite of fun.

Community is extremely toxic and for the last month I had to disable in-game chat in order to not get angry.

Great simulator for having fun fast and without any troubles.

Sound effects, flying physics, picture that you have on screen - incredible.
In order to play normally you need to have joystick and trackIR / VR headset

There is a nice PVP server named "Berloga". Tons of dogfights, tons of fun, tons of crashes and struggling, but come on, it's a simulator, not an arcade game!

A lot of planes are included in DLS's but you can buy even more of them if you want to.
(wait for sales, aircrafts are really cheap those days)
And if prices are still too much for you - look at the DCS prices, or go and try to play survive in War Thunder without donating in it ;)

The only big disadvantage of this game that I found - that there is no real reason to play. You can't research anything, can't unlock something special, can't have medals or special skins for some amount of kills using particular plane.
So you play just to play and kill only for fun, but maybe that's what simulatoirs are invented for.

I recommend this game, but not for beginners in flight simulators. If you are a beginner and you have some thoughts about buying this game and putting a lot of time in flight simulators - maybe try simulator battles in War Thunder. It's free and might give you basic understanding of that type of simulators.
And if after playing that you are stil interested in this - go ahead, buy IL-2 and be ready to enjoy this experience!
