Best soundtrack and fun arcade shooter game to play!

As a huge Dead Space fan, I really wanted to like this one.
The story isn't something special, but it works for a horror game.
It's the combat that ruins the gameplay.

Pros:
- Graphics (characters, levels, kills, gore!)
- Sound & sound effects (sound effects are the most scary part of the game!)

Cons:
- The combat! (the big downside of the game!)
The combat is designed to be immersive & intense but it gets boring & repetitive very fast.
For the most of the game you are locked in one-on-one situation, but when you have to deal with multiple enemies, it doesn't work. The game throws the good guns at the late levels, when you're already bored.
- Zero exploration.
- Small variety of enemies.
- Very boring boss fight.
- Horror game that is not scary.
- Some levels are quite boring ("below").
- Stealth doesn't work properly.

It's a shame, because something much better could be done here..

If you liked Theme Hospital back in 1997, it's a definitely yes!

It's a wonderful experience! It's not an action game, but it has its moments. Great storytelling & cinematic direction from Kojima! You do a lot of walking (and climbing). The story progresses a little slow in the beginning (until chapter 3), but after that, the pace is satisfying. Great scenery & atmosphere of the world. Great soundtrack & voice acting. On the downside, some missions are repetitive (go & fetch this), maybe the world could have more in it (although it's post-apocalyptic) and the combat is not well optimised (could have been better).
BUT you do not play it for the combat! If you focus on the story, characters, world and how about connecting people in a shattered world with your actions, you 'll have a great experience overall!
