Great concept, it feels like it just need one more layer of depth to be a truly great PVP game. (Like having more utility items)
2v2 is balanced just about right, but it can be ruined with a simple miscommunication on the final step.
Moriarty team need more ways to communicate, its really difficult to communicate properly with your Irene.
(Something like "I will Assail!" or "You command this!" would be nice!)

Crossing your fingers and hoping your teammate do the right move is not how it should be in a true strategy game.

But overall, a really fun game!

Goblin Slayer before Goblin Slayer,
Strand-type game before Death Stranding.

This game is one of my all-time favorite!
While it may not be as big as other open world like Bethesda's or Rockstar's,
Dragon's Dogma is packed with content, and a much more meaningful combat experience.

The game is not much of an RPG if you're looking for the role-playing aspect. But coming from the team behind Devil May Cry series, this game's combat is still revolutionary even by today's standard. This is like Shadow of the Colossus, Dark Souls, Skyrim, Monster Hunter, and Devil May Cry have a baby, and have the best genetics out of all the parents combined.

Ever dream of having to fight monster hunter's monsters in a more realistic way? Ever wondered what Shadow of the Colossus's colossus would be if there is actual combat rather than puzzle? It's all here in Dragon's Dogma.

Post-end the game, the whole world changes into a dark grimmer world. Packed with monsters you've never seen before. They didn't even have to do it, but they did anyways. The difficulty spikes even in an already difficult game. But not in an unfair manner, but a more intense and packed adrenaline and combat. There are a big surprising content that awaits. I couldn't ask for more even if I wanted to!

The game turns into survival horror at night, filled with beasts and undeads far stronger than what you face during the day. Before Dark Arisen expansion, the game is far more difficult because of the limited amount of Ferrystone you can carry. Forcing you to travel by foot at night if ill prepared. If you're up for a challenge, never carry Ferrystones or any means of fast travel. You'll be surprised ;)

Anyways, there is so much more praise I can give. The hidden bosses that you never expects, the thrilling dungeon exploration and combat, but I can't really say more without spoiling a lot of the surprises.

I'd say, go try it.
Dragon's Dogma is a master work's all, you can't go wrong!

Dark Souls of deck building game!

Definitely recommended for all to try, deep learning curve, intense gameplay, and there is always a new challenge due to its rogue-like nature.

Great mod community too!

Just what you can expect from a passion project!
Every details about this game is beautifully crafted!
Incredibly realistic animals, not just graphically, but also its behaviors.
You'd also be indirectly exposed to learn a new thing or two about the animals you're raising to satisfy their unique wellfares.
And the level of creativity you can have in this game is endless! You can literally build anything here!
Custom props, castles, whatever you can imagine!
There is also the steam workshop, where you can share your props that you've made.

However, this is not a game where you'd have a hard time managing a zoo.
I find the management side to be too easy to be satisfying.
There is no satisfaction from what I'd expect from a Tycoon game, just unecessary chores that are somehow not automated.
(Don't get me wrong, the management side of the difficulty is important, but there are some parts that are just not as important, and is just an endless chore.)
For example, separating male:female ratio. There should just be an auto-release behavior or something. The more I expand the zoo, the more animal conflicts I am getting.
This has made me think thrice about expanding the zoo with more animals.
Making money is not hard, you just have to expand without being too ambitious.

There is also the problem with badly designed UI, there is too much to click to get to somewhere you'd like to see/do.
This feels like a UI straight from older Tycoon games, like Zoo Tycoon.
Why'd you not immediately select the animals you select them from your zoo/animal tab?
(I've to manually look for the animal after clicking the locate animal button, and click on them!)
The locate animal button is also useless, since the UI fills the whole screen, the located animal is blocked by the UI, why!?
Why'd you not show the animal's genetic trait straight up from your zoo/animal tab?
And heck, I'd say, the worst part is the unresponsiveness of the UI within the Animal Market.
(You can't even multi-select animals you'd want to buy here, and pressing purchase/turning pages is a laggy mess!)
There should be some things that must be simplified so that it can be just dragged & dropped, such as moving animals from the zoo/animals tab to a certain habitat.

I'd be happier if the developer could expand the game with an optional harder, more realistic side of the zoo economy.
But still, despite the lack of difficulty and Tycoon satisfaction, I'd still say I get more value than what I paid for.
Great game overall!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the game!
I enjoyed playing this game with all my might,
I love the settings, I love the art direction, I love the sound design,
I love the music, I love the level design, I love the game!

However, no matter how much I love the game, I always end up very frustrated for the bugs and overall lack of optimization of the game.
For such a small scaled game, I don't understand how the development team could miss fixing such easy fixes.

The bugs has existed from launch day, and a long time later, I've always came back to the game, wishing the next update would finally fix the bugs, I downloaded the patches eagerly, but no! ITS STILL THERE!

Why would dipping into the water for the first time, freeze the game, with a HUGE chance of disconnecting the players!?
It creates an already frustrating level, even that much more frustrating that I have to re-invite all my friends to play again!
And then someone just plunge and dips again into the water, just to get all of us to disconnect.

I installed Overcooked 2 on my laptop as well, its not even half bad (It can run OVERWATCH at 60 FPS), and why the hell wouldn't it run Overcooked 2 on at least 30 FPS??? How could a game THIS SMALL be this UNOPTIMIZED!??

I bought Overcooked 2 on Nintendo Switch as well, and I've NEVER touched it again, the frame rate is so messed up, it sometimes run at 15 FPS at certain levels!! How would you even expect anyone to enjoy this game on Switch??? Sometimes the input is messed up because of the frame rate jitters, for such game that requires input precision and dexterity, this is ridiculous. Just why!?!? Why would an experienced developers such as Team17 wouldn't be able to optimize this small game!?

If you can't maintain a dedicated server for us, or at least fix the poor performing network codes!! At least make the players transform location client sided! Why would you synchronize the client player's position FROM the Host's when its this laggy!? The player would be flinged and dragged randomly, and sometimes this would dip the player (And hell yes, disconnect for everyone!!) randomly out of nowhere. WHY??

Seriously, this is ridiculous, if the Overcooked franchise were to someday be outshined by a random Overcooked Clone, I wouldn't even be surprised.

Dear Team 17, if you have time to develop an expension, please fix the bugs along as well.

All the bad reviews are outdated and invalid right now, devs listened to the complaints, and now it is one of the best game I've ever played. Great work Capcom! Now I am ready for MHW:Ultimate!

The bad reviews of this game is so biased and unjustified.
Without the name "Metal Gear", I think the game would have been received a lot better.
Close your eyes on the fanboying and bias for a minute, and just enjoy the game for what it is.

This is actually one of the great survival game out there.
Exploration is fun, scavenging is fun, stealth is fun, going into the dust is always thrilling, building your base is fun.
I genuinely had a blast progressing through the game, and even more surprises keeps on coming!

Sure the story is stupid, but if you can ignore that, and flesh out the game, it is one of the best survival game I've played. (After playing a few more hours, the story is actually "Pretty Good!")

While the stealth mechanics from MGSV still is in the game, it is not very encouraged because of the oxygen and hunger/thirst mechanic. But it is functional, working, and fun as is.

There is no bugs I've encountered so far, the game is well polished, and the graphics is just amazing, even though that's because it uses the same engine as MGSV.

Scouting areas, preparing useable items for the next mission, discovering areas, meeting the unexpected, managing resources, these elements definitely gives a good thrill to surviving the next exploration. Which I feel is better executed than most survival games out there.

There are actual boss fights in the game (4 bosses so far), something which I definitely miss from the MGS series.

People complaining about microtransaction, you get daily loging bonus with SVCoins/Events, so you probably didn't have to pay for it if you simply play the game. (Why do you need them anyways? I never feel the need to purchase any of it..)

If you are a fan of the survival genre, Metal Gear Survive is amazing, well polished, and fun!
Just don't think of it as a "Metal Gear Solid" Franchise game, and you will be having a blast playing the game!

COMMUNITY :
I recently joined the multiplayer scene, and so far, this is the best, non-toxic, small but welcoming and fun community. I will post links later.
