tl;dr Game with a lot potential, but many unbalanced and nonsensical mechanics in current state.

The game in its current state is pretty bad, but definitely has the potential to be great. Mechanically, it does not run that smoothly (12GB RAM, GTX 2060, i7 4770k) and definitely needs more optimization. As for the gameplay, a lot of the mechanics are faulty. Troop types are severely unbalanced, with tier 3 forest bandits being able to take on tier 6 knights. This would be fine, but renown gains post-battle do not reflect this. Another major issue is when other clans join your kingdom because of their stacked renown they get priority for fiefs. Fief allocation should prioritize loyalty in some way, or lords get their renown cut when they switch kingdoms. Certain smaller mechanics are also nonsensical. You are unable to marry past the age of 35 because apparently you can't have kids that late in life. Men can have children until their 70s while women can have them until their late 40s. Even if, this should not block you from getting married in the first place. Also, the relation with other lords is effectively useless at this point in the game. I would like to see it actually matter, but it doesn't. The game also says you can boost your trading for managing caravans, but this is also false. I've yet to experience a boost to trading as a result. I've been playing M&B for the past ten years and having wait for Bannerlord for years, I'm disappointed and excited. If they iron out these and other broken mechanics, it'll be great. If they don't, it will be in the shoddy state it currently is in.

It's overrated, source is better. Still a decent game though.

I hate the class system, just remake gunz without teh hackers, that would've been great, you don't have to go around copying tf2.
