Honestly, I normally get bored and/or frustrated with games really quickly. Lunacid was NOT one of them.

The game is beautifully atmospheric, with music that not only bops, but also blends with the environment in a way that can even evoke an emotional reaction to your surroundings. The subtle environmental storytelling is fantastic and really gives you that sense of despair that may come from dark fantasy settings, while also being captivating, making you feel... thankful(?) that you can explore and discover things about the world you're in.

The game's stylization was also done unbelievably well and really goes to show that a game doesn't need over-the-top realistic graphics to be amazing. Gameplay-wise, you can truly feel yourself getting stronger as you progress through levels and upgrade your equipment, not to mention that finding and using new items is so interesting and fun. Yeah, combat is extremely simple, but through a combination of spells and melee attacks, you can make it feel a little more interesting than if you only walked backwards.

Also, take a look at the game manual because it's adorable!

So ♥♥♥♥ yes I would recommend this game!! If you're someone who likes to partake in medieval fantasy weapons and magic, as well as explore, this game is for you ♥
