seriously what the ♥♥♥♥ is this game.

  • Super tight gameplay
  • Banger soundtrack (it's so good omfg)
  • Good upgrade system
  • The story bits are short and sweet (reminds me of rpgmaker type games and yume nikki or pocket mirror vibes)
  • Bosses are fun bullet hell challenges and not just damage sponges
  • Cool retro visuals full of personality

ALL OF THIS FOR 5 US DOLLARS.

I feel like i'm just robbing these people, you can barely buy some pepsis or a big mac with this kind of money. Just try it there's even a demo.

My mind is racing; All of my insecurities were laid bare.

I can't stop thinking about everything I've lived through, what I'm experiencing and what I have yet to see. It feels difficult to describe how exactly I feel in regards to this game.

Though I do recommend experiencing this game first-hand, please beware. If you currently suffer from mental health conditions, take my sincere trigger warning to heart.

I finally decided to give this game a chance, after always giving it a couple of glances and thinking to myself: "Hey, this might be cool".

Well, little did I know I was going in for one of the best hour and a half I've ever spent in a game. I played the game in one sitting, without any breaks.

From the very first minute I was met with very relaxing music. Simple, but extremely elegant graphics. The game featured many different "zones", each with it's main soundtrack and all of them were perfectly fitting to the game's atmosphere. The game's world and NPC are full of life and even the small pieces of dialogue exchanged by them add to the experience, as nothing feels forced or out of place. Whenever a new character appeared, I wanted to talk to them just to see what they had in mind. The more I explored, the more I wanted to see!

I think this is an amazing game, despite being so simple. It made me think about a lot of things in life, without referencing anything in particular. I think it serves as a great reminder that there is a lot of beauty to be seen even in seemingly small things, and that these could prove to be much more enriching experiences than initially expected.

It's essentially the original S;G except scenes are now fully animated and gorgeously drawn. The font and overall style of the UI were also revamped and are quite pleasant to utilize. In short, this is an improved S;G in many aspects, which is already an absolute must play for anyone who likes Anime or Visual Novels.

My experience with the original game was heavenly and I'm really enjoying my second playthrough through S;G Elite. Kurisu best girl/10

Edit After playing a bit more and discussing this game, I came to the realisation that this is not in fact an improvement over the original. This is because many scenes are shortened or even left out completely due to several limitations. Ultimately, this results in an experience that is not as content rich as the original S;G and therefore, I would recommend playing the original game first. If you haven't seen the anime already and would like to play again, maybe Elite will be an interesting experience as it does have content not present in the original, despite having less content in other areas.
