Not very good

I like it, i think the leader leveling system is a good addition to the game and i like the new paragon leaders, they’re fun. not sure if worth $15 at full pricd but i got it on sale and don’t regret it

I cannot even begin to properly decompress why this game is so good. Every inch of this game oozes with passion, and it really shows. It is not only a master class in game development and design, but in writing, art, and music. When coupled with the first game and consequently considering the breadth of their legacy, Risk of Rain, as a project, strikes me as true and honest high art. But all of that aside, it's also just really, really fun. Buy this game now or die.

Combat alone makes this game better than Civ. I love killing people

its ok

No Chaos, Imperial Guard, finishing moves, singleplayer skirmish, multiplayer is weird and MOBA-esque and devs abandoned game. The shell of what could be really fun and cool is here but it just feels unfinished, it's like Relic just barely didn't hit the mark. The presentation is fantastic though and the core gameplay is pretty fun, it just isn't that good, but it isn't terrible or anything. You can get better gameplay easier and cheaper on DoW 1 or literally any of its expansions and if you wanna do the micro unit management stuff then just play DoW 2, both cheaper and more fun than this game. Not worth the $40. If it ever goes on sale for maybe $20 then yeah pick it up and give it a try but still
