I had this on Xbox gamepass but not the expansions. No idea why I love this game so much, especially since I'm playing it during Texas Winter Storm, but definitely one of the better Simulators out.

Love the new DLC, don't love the updated political undertones. I'm only a couple hours in but already I'm like, really?!
I saw a loading screen with a woman that said 'In a strong independent woman's home there is no need for little snots. I'm not understanding why this was necessary to even say.
I know when we are flipping the homes, the NPCs will chime in on what they like and don't like, but on the loading screen?

And the new job with the interracial couple? The husband, who's white is mild and the wife who is black has to step in and take over? I don't know where you guys are based but it's this very type of rhetoric that has America just short of going to war with each other.

I'm a woman of color who's dated both white and black men. One thing I hate is playing into stereotypes or being mis-characterized. The white man didn't need a description of his personality. Certainly not mild. And you didn't need to portray the black woman as being the strong in charge one. Can't they just be a couple? Like the Asian couple was?

I hate even having to bring this up in the first place. I'm not the overly sensitive type. But I really really want my country to be at peace. While you are not the cause of the strife, you're not helping. Leave politics out of the game. Keep the diversity, please, but the rest needs to go. Kudos for having voice actors that are the race they are portraying (yes some of us can hear things like that). Please remove the 'I don't need no snotty nosed kids' white girl, the strong black woman and the 'mild (re: weak) white man.

I won't threaten to not play or return it. But will think twice before purchasing another DLC if this keeps up. Straighten up guys!

This game is everything I thought it would be and I adore it. Having to try and figure out what to do and pay attention to all the little details is just fabulous. Add to that James MacAvoy (I adore him anyway, to get to listen to his voice and picture him saying the words is just auditory candy) and the extremely talented Willem Defoe (also a fan of his) and this is the perfect game.
If you're all about running and gunning or can't think past your tanks and guns, this is not the game for you. But if you're a thinker and like games with a heavy dose of reality mixed in with your fantasy. You can't go wrong with this one. I don't recommend for kids though. Some of this is rather graphic. I'm not a squeamish type woman by any means but even I found myself turning my head...or maybe it's just the really good story telling that made me turn my head....or I may or may not have a photo of MacAvoy from Split on my other screen. Who knows...

Demo is interesting but it's giving me Oxygen Required vibes. And while I love that game, I don't know if I like the same mechanics for this game.
The descriptions or character bios don't appear to have any bearing on how the NPCs react to supposed torture. And not sure how mining coal, dirt and rock figure into being in hell.
I love the idea but not sure this works in this format. Perhaps take a look at the old game Heaven and Hell and move more in that direction?
Summarized..beautiful game, doesn't make sense.

House Flippers....Assemble

I've been playing for 5 hours and loving the new DLC. I have only one complaint and that's that the HGTV thing feels like an after thought. I am guessing you all will be doing some additional things with it later. Perhaps contests or maybe the ability to share a portfolio or something that will align more with HGTV. I do think some of the challenges are strange and some rooms have too much furniture (secret basement I'm looking at you). But all in all enjoying so far. Thanks to my dearest friend for getting this for me as a belated birthday present. We now hope for a multiplayer version in the future, where I can join her game and say..' On your left...' (Sorry ya'll, been all about some Avengers during Quarantine) Great job guys!

It All Started With a Post on Reddit..it said I Pirated Rimworld...and then I bought it, and I'll tell you why.

I will honestly say I am one of those people that will grab a game by nefarious means and always buy it. I'm a honest woman..and I believe in supporting developers for their hard work..good or bad game. Some of those games I never play again. Rimworld is not one of those games. And I did buy it, just a few hours ago as a belated birthday present for myself. I have had it on my list for some time now, waiting for it to go on sale. I only saw it on sale once a few weeks ago. And I have never recently enjoyed playing a game so much. I was a huge Sims fan before it was ruined. This reminds me of the Sims in it's heyday..if it was twisted, cut up and passed through a Prison Architect grinder.
I adore it and keep it running through the day as I work, so I can watch my little people do whatever they are doing. My daughter, home schooled, is always excited when she, knows I'm about to start it up and loves my random commentary, such as 'Really...so you're just gonna eat his head...REALLY?!' This has earned a highly coveted spot amongst my top 10 favorite games of all time. The others being Shadowun (the original one made for Sega Genesis, not that BS for XBox or even the new one here on Steam), Sid Meirs Pirates, Prison Architect and Flashback. I haven't paid this much for a game since GTA IV and V and have no regrets. Add to this I can also play on my iPad Pro and it's utter pixelated perfection. I tip my bone and human flesh fascinator to you developer ma'am or sir developer. (is that a Rimworld thing?) It should be..I'd like a fascinator made of bone and flesh..I'm all about game couture. Fabulous game..just fabulous!

I foget how muchI love this game until I come back to play it. Just adorable and not easy to play either, which I love.

I am IN LOVE with this game. I'm actually in the middle of moving into my first home and playing this helped me visualize how I could change things I may not have liked. Invaluable when you're trying to pick a good home and get a good deal. Hope it'll be helpful when I'm trying to put in new fixtures and stuff, lol

Easily one of my favorite games, even if hours played don't show it. One of my preferred fall/winter games...curled up in my chair playing on iPad. That's right I love it so much I paid for two copies.

We had initially done a live review. But silly Gameinatrix forgot to turn on the video, lol. Will get to that again later I hope. But in the mean time..TLDR LOVE this game! THIS is how you do a simulator.
