Cool game - Virtually unplayable!
5900X + 4090 @ 1440p, this game is certainly among the most photorealistic. The sharp, piercing gunshots really add to the immersion. This would all be really cool if matchmaking worked at all, if lobbies were joinable, and if the few that ARE joinable aren't typically dead lobbies where the host won't start the match it was recently changed where only the host has to ready-up, which is an improvement, since there were also many cases where individual players would not ready-up.

I really respect two young junior developers trying to make it in the current industry, but this was NOT ready for even EA; it needed more playtesting to ensure users could actually play the game to begin with. You better have some friends ready to play in a private lobby, because good luck otherwise trying to find a match. Now with some post-launch updates, it's not perfect, but absolutely playable! There's definitely some kinks to be worked-out, but it's feeling less like a tech demo, and more of a flex of the power of UE5

[UPDATE] Co-op progression sharing has been added!
As of patch notes from Mar 30, they have added co-op progress sharing, and have even added some level of loot sharing, which is icing on the cake!

I'm extremely excited to try the new patch out, now that the most glaring concerns for a co-op game have been addressed! I'll be updating this review after more playtime, but for now I'm changing this to a thumbs-up! Thank you so much dev team for being so active post-launch and listening to the community!

[UPDATE] As of patch notes from Mar 28, they have acknowledged the co-op concerns, and are discussing refining the experience. No changes implemented yet.

Full-stop, aside from the stability issues the devs are working on, the lack of co-op progression completely ruins this game. This needs to be added ASAP, or this game's launch is going to be even more dead-in-the-water than the swarm of negative reviews so far. NOBODY is going to enjoy having to either jointly do the same missions 4 times, or the 3 non-leader players having to go back and complete the missions again on their own.

I ABSOLUTELY will change this review if this is fixed. There is a lot of promise here for a fresh take on multiple genres, in a really cool, new format. I WANT this game to succeed, but it feels like either play-testing was minimal, or the play-testers were out-of-touch. This is something that should've been addressed before release.

Fantastic game with an even better modding community, I cannot recommend it highly enough if you're a fan of the genre. One of the go-to picks for an easy pick-up game for any group of friends.

[Early Access] This game is EXTREMELY impressive, even just a few hours after EA release! Running smooth and stable, graphics look great, surprisingly robust QoL, UI, and "behavior" (the drag 'n drop scripting system) elements right from the start! Desynced clearly learned many valuable lessons that other factory games like Factorio have learned over the years, and has implemented into the user experience right out-of-the box. There's a large research tree/path to follow, plenty of world elements for a day 1 EA game, and the automation/logistics (so far) seem to scale well!

On top of all of that, Desynced has DAY ONE mod and Steam Workshop support, and we've been able to watch, while small, functional mods pop into the Steam Workshop as the days go by.

VERY impressed so far, and I'm extremely excited for the planned roadmap, and can't wait to see what the modding community will have to offer in a year.

Not designed for mouse
At it's current state, multiple of the minigames are difficult to control, due to touchscreen-focused controls, that do not respond well to mouse input. For instance, the pins and cars are awkward at best to interact with, which can cause enough delay to lose a 3-star rating on a level. Touchscreen Windows users and graphics tablet owners rejoice, I suppose.

The game is 100% true-to-title, and you really do get to play these minigames, unlike those crappy mobile game ads you see online, they nailed that aspect.

It should be said, but using the same exact kill sound for every goblin in the number tower levels is pretty grating.

DO. NOT. BUY. STEAM. VERSION.
It has ALWAYS been buggy and prone to issues preventing it to launch, but now that the Origin launcher has been FORCED to the new, EVEN WORSE EA Launcher, it's stuck in a launch loop, or thinks it's already running, or outright fails to launch.
