While it's not a good game (it may have been in 1993) it's not bad, but if you skip it you're not really missing anything.

Some of the puzzles are brutal. The microscope puzzle for example is a very difficult game against AI. The piano puzzle is a memory game starting with 1 key and going up to 18 keys, meaning you need to click 171 keys, in order, without mistakes. If you're up to 12 keys and you make a mistake, you have to start completely from scratch.

The narration during puzzle solving gets in the way. During the maze, whenever you reach a dead-end, an audio of Stauf mocking you plays, which prevents you from turning around until the audio finishes. The same thing happens during other puzzles where narration plays making you wait before you can make more moves. And the knight puzzle has very long animations for swapping the knights which was particularly annoying.
