8/10 because no bouncers and patrons do not want my 3 billion chicken eggs.

Early Access Review
I play this game whenever I find myself wanting to escape to a nicer, better world than the one we live in now. Five thousand hours and counting.

Mind utterly ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Cried the ugly cry once (ok maybe twice). It floors me that someone made a game about soldier PTSD but that's how far we've come with games and I'm about it. Incidentally, it's also a really fun, intense shooter that gives you an achievement for blowing up multiple people with grenades, so there you go. 8/10 sad but appreciative tears.

Here's my issue with The Sims franchise in general - they give you a base game with huge chunks of content intentionally missing, so that in order to actually enjoy it, you'll need to spend additional money on expansions. And then more expansions. And then another expansion. And after about $100 sunk into it, you'll finally have a fun game that resembles the previous version of The Sims that you upgraded from. See: Sims 2, Sims 3, Sims 4. Knock it off, EA. This is why people gleefully pirate your games and never feel the slightest bit guilty about it.

Anyway, I finally decided to buy a legit copy of this on Steam because it went on sale for $12 (base game bundled with a few of the most important expansions) - which is reasonable. If you get the other expansions on sale for $4.99 each, that's also reasonable. If you're thinking of paying full price for any of it, you're out of your mind. And don't even waste $1 on Island Paradise because it's buggy as hell and you won't be able to play it.

All that being said, I regularly get sideways and play with my virtual dollhouse for hours on end. Once you've gotten most of the expansions and your pc is running it nicely, it's really quite fun. Just be smart about it and wait for a 50% off sale.

It's 'free' good. It's not 'good' good.
