This is essentially a slightly over an hour long ENA episode, and i mean that in a good way. certainly for fans of the series, the characters are charming and all very unique and animate in excellent ways akin to the episodes before it. if you haven't seen the series, its all free on YouTube and can be completed in less than an hour. plot coherence is not quite the point of this game or series in general, and that's part of the love people have for it.

+ excellent animation with characters full of unique charm left and right
+ superb VO work being done here, the different languages all portray their respective characters well
+ more to this coming out up ahead, when all is done i expect this to be a really great experience
+ free, how can you beat that. i plan to buy the supporter edition soon because i love these guys

= currently at 1 chapter, there's a lot of things that are still unresolved and the playtime is "short" in a game sense. still great if you go in expecting a long and interactive ENA episode.

a fantastic game for a casual "friends" night! gameplay is very fun. original idea with great feeling controls and animation. FFA and Wildcard have been our group hits so far.

+Friend pass makes it easy to get a full group of your friends, though i hope this doesnt harm sales too bad

=only one map, its huge and has alot of nifty sightlines, but more maps can def add some variance
=little scared of running into the wrong kind of person in public matches but thats just a given anywhere with proximity chat

-6 players feels a tad low, feels like it would be possible to fit in 8-10 and still keep a pretty intended experience, though maybe they tested this and thought otherwise

Paradise Killer is a knockout home-run in style, art direction, story, and gameplay for me personally. Solve a complicated murder in a dystopian, Vapor-wave world run by a cult. Fans of any murder mystery games would find a lot of enjoyment from this.

+ Super slick vapor-wave aesthetic. The developers went for a very specific look that other games haven't really done between the weird and vibrant

+ real deduction feel. You are actually walking around the world to find physical evidence and piece things together. As well as talking to the others on the island for alibis and explanations of evidence found that may contradict. You start the trial to end the game when YOU feel you are ready.

+ interesting repertoire of characters and collectibles on the map. Everyone you meet feels genuine and lived in. The world building through all the assortment of items you find really fleshes out a unique world that is full of depth and history.

= limited VO. All characters have voice actors but only hold a hand full of lines that can get pretty repetitive in some occasions

Absolutely brilliant game. really sold on the style and gameplay. fun for both casual audience and those who really want to push as far as possible into gameplay and mechanics. Will continue to sink hours as long as it gets updates.

+ high variance between creatures and map layout.
+ knowledge to learn with how to deal with creatures, moving scrap efficiently, etc.

= lack of outside map variety, essentially has 3 "biomes" can feel a little bland outside of the facility.
= To really get the best experience, feels like you need at least 3 people.

Best Visual Novel i have played in a moment. Great paced story and not too long for people who dont want to commit long term like other VNs. Satifying from beginning to end.

having played this game for 20 hours total with my friends, i would say this game is well worth the $10 you're paying. it made by a studio of only 2 people, and they plan on updating it as long as theres people to enjoy it. updates really bring alot of additional content as well. highly recommend to anybody wanting a great game with friends. also supports single player with bots. no online at the moment, so you know.
