recently my steam account got the password changed due to me falling to a scam. here's what happened:
i was in discord and suddenly a random person dmed me, i literally don't know who they are since they are not related to whatever it is. then the scammer told me that they reported me by accident (alongside with a snip) and it would bring me to a ban permanently.
when i contacted the discord user provided by the scammer (they're also contributing to the scam), they had asked for my email and a verification. (frick you i changed my email after i realize i got scammed), and boom. my steam account got the password changed after they disabled it.
i was extremely devastated since i still have some money left in my steam wallet, and i couldn't sleep, lmfao
thank goodness i contacted steam support and i was able to solve the problem in less than one day. i'm glad i was able to elaborate the problem i had regarding my account properly as well.
i learnt my lesson.
