Generation Zero used to be a badly flawed gem, with a huge number of irritating bugs and glitches, but stunning visuals, excellent audio and a surprisingly gripping narrative if you decided to follow it. Playing it now, it seems clear that months of regular updates have fixed a lot of the issues it had at launch and added some nice QoL improvements, like storage and bikes as well as some more drastic changes. The map is a lot more fleshed out now, with many unmarked points of interest, like roadblocks and car crashes offering loot and encounters, and the option to disable the detection meter (a bracket that appeared around the crosshair when a robot started to sense you) makeing the game a very tense and cautious affair.

If you're looking for a slow paced lite-survival game without bothersome food and sleep mechanics, a huge, pretty world to scavenge from and explore and cool robots to trap and destroy, Generation Zero is excellently priced for it.
