It's possible by the time I get to endgame I'll have different thoughts but at 40 hours in, and in the Ashes of Malmouth expansion, I can say this much: Grim Dawn is a game that respects your time like no other in the ARPG genre.

I've played a fair amount of Path of Exile 1 and 2, the Diablo franchise, and Last Epoch. I would consider myself a massive fan of the ARPG genre and have played a fair amount of indie ARPGs as well. There is no other game that cares about your experience more than Grim Dawn. The sheer amount of love and care put into the level design in the campaign, the incredibly deep gearing system, a built in loot filter, great build diversity, and game stability all make for an experience that is unrivaled in the genre.

I am very excited to continue to put hours into this and expand my repetoire. If you're a fan of the genre, I think Grim Dawn is a no-brainer.

Perfect blend of complexity and casual.

It just isn't as good as Doom (2016). The irreverence isn't there. The creative skirmishing isn't there. I love the level variety but I cannot stand the enemy weak-point stuff. The upgrade tree is bloated and Bethesda's upselling is at full force. If you want a great Doom game, play Doom (2016). If you want a mediocre one, I guess Eternal is for you.

Probably the best MMO ever made. Probably the best Final Fantasy ever made. Nothing more to say that hasn't been said before. Give it a shot if that appeals to you.

One of the best fighters, if not the best American fighter. Really low skill floor with a high ass skill ceiling, the Marvel 4 we all need and deserve. 10/10
