This is exactly what I always hoped Victoria 2 was. I think they did a great job!
I personally also like the war system, even though it is highly controversial.
It also combines little elements from all the other paradox games, and in a good way. It may have become my favorite one.
Love it!

EDIT: Now, having reached the 75 hour mark of game time, I unfortunately must say that the game has a few shortcomings when it comes to game mechanics (ex: you can keep fighting a war while running a deficit because you keep oscillating in and out of default) and also feels like it could have more flavor (country specific events, more ways of creating unique nations). Also, passing all the liberal laws as fast as possible seems to be the only way of staying competitive, any other government forms seem weak in comparison, so this seriously limits options and makes every game feel the same.
I still recommend the game, but I feel like the base has to be expanded a bit further to make it great. I hope Paradox adds more to it with time.

NEW EDIT: Update 1.5 really saved this game... the war system is now way more fun, they are slowly adding flavor starting with Latin America, many new exciting features have been added and the weird game mechanics slowly fixed! Definitely became my favorite Paradox title now!

My already favorite game series now bundled together in one coherent experience. So amazing!
The quality of life improvements are great, controller support on PC was added. Everything looks and feels a bit smoother as well. Definitely recommend it.

This is such a cool metroidvania! You can feel the catholic guilt creeping in while you fight for penance. Play with the spanish voiceover for extra authenticity and if you expect the inquisition, which nobody does.
Also kudos to the devs for actively developing the game and releasing free DLC years after its release. This is definitely a labor of love.

Lots of reviews are very critical of this game. Having been developed by an indie studio, it obviously won't have the biggest range of textures and hugest maps ever seen in a game. Nonetheless, it does what it tries to do well and is a lot of fun! Hammering away at hordes of undead while metal music plays in the background is really cool.

Best Battle Royale I have played... love it!

This is one of the cutest most addicting games I have played in a while! I just love everything about it.

The most addicting MOBA I have played. The third-person perspective makes for cool ultimates.
And the god skins are some of the best I have ever seen in a f2p game.

It is baffling how complex this game is, and how many hours you can therefore put into it if you enjoy automating and optimizing a space colony to make your little colonists live happily ever after.
The devs also keep updating it with free updates, which is amazing.
I will certainly be putting many more hours into this, it is just so enjoyable!
