(This is not going to be as fancy as my other reviews but whatever.)

Honestly after three and a half years, and 2,000 hours of playing later this has got to be one of my most favorite management games out there. It’s really hard to put words on why I like playing this game so much.

For a few aspects I can say on why I like it is customization. You can make the game as easy, or hard as you want it to be.

Another is modding, there’s so many mods that improve every aspect in the game like new weapons, generation, races, or just complete overhauls that just make the game play so much different. Even if you don’t like playing vanilla rimworld there should be some mods out there to make the game into your own.

And lastly I really enjoy seeing a struggling colony just turn into a unstoppable fortress in just a few irl days of play. It’s been hard actually finishing the game with the ending because I just like the process of early to near end game.

My only complaint I have for this game is in late game the game can be really laggy, and there’s a lack of lore and story to the game, but judging by the recent patches it looks like they’re trying to fix these slowly.

Although it never went on sale I would totally say the game is worth the price it’s asking for. I never regretted paying full price for it.
