Early Access Review
Gets updates on a fixed schedule, devs never miss patch day. Each update always implements tons of community suggested changes and ideas. Game is very cozy, and the characters are cute. Runs better in multiplayer than a lot of these types of games do in singleplayer. I love this game tbh <3

There's just too much going on in this. Rather than having a single, refined word game to engage with, you instead end up with multiple (often confusing) mini games chained together. Few mechanics carry over between the mini games, and there is no tutorial to speak of.

Every mechanic and mini game is just tossed in from the jump, and the help button simply adds more cognitive overhead by having you follow 10-15 explanation steps. Even the smallest of mechanics requires a novella-sized explanation.

A simple case of trying to create depth thru needless complexity and mechanic bloat. It's 10% a word game, and 90% reading lengthy rules and deciphering a messy interface.

Refund requested.

And with one single update, 2 and 1/2 years of listening to player feedback has finally come to an end. The game I had installed on every device I own and recommended to anybody who would listen is no longer recognizable. I never wanted to be the person who had to write a negative review for something they've invested obscene amounts of time into, but here we are. Very reminiscent of the unilateral changes Jeb tries to force on Minecraft to dictate *how* a game is enjoyed by it's players.

This is the video game equivalent of group therapy for your friend circle. Every emotion, no matter how deep or suppressed, will be dragged kicking and screaming to the surface. Develop grudges that last longer than your relationships, and patience levels that would make a saint jealous. The best way to really get to know people since truth or dare.

The game has received regular updates for years, frequently gets new courses, and the devs are always fixing bugs and polishing things up. I definitely recommend this for anyone that needs a good party/social game, especially since the controls are simple enough to be intoxication-friendly.

This is also my Steam Awards 2021 "Labor of Love" nomination <3

This is by-far the best game I have on Steam. It's really a many games within a game. Between the vast selection of Workshop content, and the great stock content, you'll never run out of things to do in TTS. I even made my own custom card game with this! It's all about freedom of creativity. And in a game you play with pals, freedom is king. :3
