Basically the best TMNT game ever made. It's a better Turtles in Time, there's new tech (dodging, aerials, etc.), it runs great, it sounds great, the multiplayer works well, and it's just the right overall length.

After spending 12-and-a-half with the game and completing it, most of my initial feelings from first announcement to pre-release media were validated; this was an unnecessary remake that really fails to justify itself. It improves a handful of sections, adds whole new ones that are kinda' garbage, cuts a lot of content, and emerges out the other end as a product that is not better, but different. It does not replace the original game, it sits adjacent to it, and you can pick either flavor, but this also means that there's really no reason not to just pick the original. RE4 did not need to be remade, all of its quirks were intentional design choices, and it wasn't a game kneecapped by then-available hardware or budgetary concerns. This REmake feels like a cynical cash grab that has fewer reasons to exist than the RE3 remake.

Two of the best action platformers ever made and a pair of decent ones in between. Absolutely worth the cash.

One of the best games every made. I can't say anything that hasn't already been said.

Splitgate is a shooter with both feet in different boats, trying to ape the weapon ecosystems of both Halo 4 and Unreal Tournament and succeeding at being neither of these games. Map designs vary immensely in quality, and not every map design does a good job of integrating the portal play. The portals are a different sort of garbage on their own since you can't see through any portals you didn't make, and this can make it difficult to counterplay someone who drops a portal to shoot from (because you can't aim at a target you can't see). You could just toss a grenade, but the grenade economy of two carried versus infinite portal generation doesn't balance out. Additionally, grenades do ♥♥♥♥-all to players, and this game would benefit from having additional, swappable grenade types like Halo, or at least permitting players to carry at least 4 anti-portal grenades.

Finally, TTK in this game is the smallest I've seen outside of a CoD game. There is no helping it if the enemy sights you in first, and very few opportunities for reversals because you can be two-tapped by the BR. The slower pace of Halo titles was designed to allow people to survive a shot or two and respond to their enemy, and Splitgate's play model just doesn't accomodate this at all.

It's not a bad shooter. The gunplay is fine, the guns feel good to shoot, the skeleton of this game is competently-built, but it suffers from a litany of smaller issues that make it an unrefined product, so for now I can't recommend it.

APEX Legends is the best game in today's slightly-crowded Battle Royale market, by far. Easier to get into than Warzone, with better mechanics than Fortnite, and with significantly more polish than PUBG, the folks at Respawn have actually made something that makes the Battle Royale subgenre worth paying attention to.

These are the best Mega Man games ever made. Better than the Classic series, and a distillation of the X series to a point of perfection.

A pretty solid stealth game, with several layers of systems working on top of each other to provide checks, balances, and opportunities.

Proof positive that people still want 90s PC arena shooter design in their games, and that some developers still know how to deliver it.

This gritty reboot of 'A Boy & His Blob' replaces jelly beans with throat-shredding dogs and adults unflinchingly snapping your neck. By the time you've reached the final segment, if you're down to pound, grab the blob that's round.
