i'm loving it so far.
Feels like a balance between a Ninja Gaiden game and a Platinum game, and that's a great comeback for both.
Don't care about the story, though.

Rest in Peace, Itagaki-sensei.

With the latest update, it's even easier to recommend this at full-price now.

So far my personal GOTY 2024 which made feel as excited as the kid I was when first playing Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Thief etc.

It's a great DLC, with interesting civs and a great single player campaign. It's weird for me that for skirmish modes, the new antiquity civs have to compete versus Medieval-themed civs. I think it would be better (though a little bit harder) to re-work some other antiquity-themed civs from AoE1 (excluding the most of the Asian civs and maybe even the civs that were already too ancient in the late antiquity) and completely remove all the civs not related thematically. Maybe it's what the devs are aiming for, given that it's just the 1st AoE: Chronicles?

Siren
+ Боди-хоррор и ♥♥♥♥♥♥ дизайн монстров
+ Вайбовый звук от самого маэстро Акиры Ямаока

I'm here rather for the Shinji Mikami stylish action, and not so much for the Suda51 weirdness, and so far I'm having a blast.
The combat system feels like Resident Evil 4 with arcadey pacing more similar to a Devil May Cry game. The depiction of hell is quite interesting, looks like traditional Spanish slums, and reminded me of DMC2 levels. The protagonist in motion reminds me a lot of Benicio Del Toro with voice acting sounding like Manny from Grim Fandango. Also would like to mention the sound direction by Akira Yamaoka, it's stellar and atmospheric. I don't want to talk much about humour, but the dialogue about a strawberry ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ had me smiling like a weirdo.

I think the price is great and the execution also good - stable 4K /60 FPS, beautiful textures, and not particularly buggy (although I feel like my left stick is drifting...). The shooting impact has good animation, but otherwise some rare and minor animations seem not smooth enough, as if the game was programmed with 30 fps in mind. Which at all doesn't distract from fun. I'm early into the game and am wondering whether there is also the mechanic of adaptive difficulty implemented, similar to re4.

With that said, I think I'll have to drop this game, because the girl of the protagonist is mostly displayed in lingerie, and for some reason she is too sexy, and I'm feeling horny while playing and after. The game makes me too horny, while there should be no horny there, and frankly I already have an in-game Boner to play with.

P.S. It also wouldn't hurt to finally have some ports of more over-the-top Japanese action classics, such as God Hand or Madworld, especially if those are not as horny.

Early Access Review
I'm not really a target audience of 1v1-PVP, so I'm there mostly for single-player content (but would consider going online later), and what I see now looks promising. I felt some Warcraft III vibes from the first two missions, which is always good. There are many many many things which need polish, but that's what it means to be in Early Access, so I don't understand so much demotivating negativity in the community. If I listened to all this 'ugly models/no facial animation' crap, I don't think I'd give Stormgate a go. With that said, I'm looking forward to some major updates and hopefully even a full-blown release, since I'm not the type of gamer to focus much on early access products.

Do I recommend this game? It costs no money at this point, so if you are a fan of 2000's RTS and have appetite for modern iterations of the nearly-abandoned genre, then you absolutely should not ignore Stormgate's existence.

P.S. If developers at Frost Giant Studios ever see this text: please don't ignore the negative feedback, try to separate constructive criticism from toxic crybabies, because a lot of polish indeed will be needed to deliver the product.

It's very much going to the basics of CoH1. The deck system is now very simple as it was in CoH1 instead of the messed-up loadouts from CoH2. Base building is now delegated to the HQ and thus my engineers no longer need to camp at the base. Game physics, vehicle behaviour, hit detection and collisions are now much improved than what I remember from CoH1 after hundreds of hours online. (I was not a fan of CoH2) At the core, it's the same old gameplay without any stupid experiments Relic are occasionally infamous for (I'm looking at you, DoW3.)

I can't say about single player campaigns yet, but the skirmishes and online are exactly what I wanted to see in a new Company of Heroes game and if You are an RTS fan than You really should try the game for Yourself despite all the crybaby whining in the "fan" community.
