Half-Life is a game that might not seem that impressive nowadays but was absolutely groundbreaking when it got released over twenty years ago.
The AI behaviour is especially well-made, enemies behave in a way in which they seem alive and aware of their surroundings, Xen monsters flank you and sometimes hunt each other like wild animals.
The game is rather challenging and can easily piss you off, difficulty varies greatly between levels. There is no "click m to open map" or any kind of floating icons that show you where to go, you have to discover everything yourself, sometimes, the way to "solve" the level was so weird and obscure, that I had to search for the solutions on the internet.
There are many unlockable weapons and they are very satisfying to use. The in-game crowbar ended up as a symbol of the entire Half-Life franchise.
Some bugs may be present but I didn't notice any significant ones during my playthrough, Half-Life works natively on Linux without issues, which is great. There is no reason not to try this game, it's impressive how much content can be packed inside 636MB of data.

My favorite character just died... 10/10 game would recommend

I'm insanely bad at this game but it's very fun to color the map nevertheless. As usual Paradox is cutting content and selling it as DLC but the base game feels more complete than HOI4 for example, so it's acceptable.

For me this game is pure nostalgia, I used to play it all the time back in the day, outside of steam. It's a shame that it's barely alive, there are definitely some good reasons for that, but I still rate this game positively.

To be honest I only bought this game for the nice achievement icons that can be used to decorate the steam profile. I played it for a few minutes while farming steam cards and the gameplay is what you would expect from a 2D puzzle game, it's okay, though the UI is rather badly designed.

This game in an absolute masterpiece with a very active and creative community. The gameplay has some issues caused by the sheer age of this game but is great overall.
Why did I leave a negative review then? Because valve doesn't really care about this game any more. One comic chapter and occasional fixes aren't enough for such a game. People are still willing to spend money so it's not like valve would lose money from taking care of the game again, it's just plain indifference...

PAYDAY 2 is a great crime simulator, and it's even better if you play with friends. There are annoying paid DLCs but you can get many hours of gameplay even without them. There are some minor bugs but the game is very stable with no crashes.
This game is famous for a reason, it's also cheap, so there is no reason to not buy it (On the other hand, PAYDAY 3 is just a blatant cash grab).
