To put it shortly, it's hard as hell, but it makes it all worth it by how rewarding those little moments of luck peppered along your journey are. Plus, there are so many ways to customize your gameplay through the many ships, ship systems and ship subsystems. Every playthrough is unique through it's hundreds of random encounters, fights and different opportunities to buy and sell stuff.

This game is simply awesome and I can't recommend it enough for the guy who just wants a game where he can kick back, crank up his favorite music, maybe get a beer or two and take control of a little ship that could.
