Spellshot is a wonderful blend of CoD zombies and old-school 2.5D first person shooters.

The gameplay loop is fairly straightforward, but the combinations of augments you can have on your bullets + higher difficulty levels helps the game's longevity. The four maps to choose from are pretty well designed, the lab is the easiest and best for kiting. Only negative to say about map design is the acid on map 2 instakills, and I've lost plenty of runs accidentally dipping my toes into it while trying to kite a horde. All of them have at least one loop to train enemies with, if not more.

For the reviews that are saying the game is too hard, I am going to assume you missed out on some mechanics. There are vouchers to level up your base character and increase things like move speed, crit chance, health, etc. I will admit, I missed this for the first two hours. I fear they might not have been upgrading the shopkeeper, as the level 3 augments even without the Chronogun upgrade (it's pack-a-punching) can easily clear level 1. Higher difficulties can definitely get overwhelming, but proper kiting and double pack-a-punching has gotten me past difficulty 5 on most stages. Proper sliding and movement could get you through a run without upgrade the gun at all.

Simple concept executed well with high replay-ability, highly recommend and hope they keep updating!

One of the most underrated games recently in my opinion. It's a platformer that reminds you of your first gaming experiences, except there are so many missions and different gun combonations you can make that really freshens up the game. I would recommend that you play with friends, to allow many hours of fun.
