So far this game is exactly as I expected. It is just a new release of the classic game I have hundreds of hours in. I am a pilot IRL and Flight Simulator games have always been very accurate and fun to play... Why I am playing the video game version of my day job? idk... But It is fantastic nonetheless.

Pros:
- The performance is MUCH better than I expected, the game looks great and runs acceptably on a gtx 1060 6GB, 1440p, at medium settings.
- Classic, realistic flight sim
- Amazing graphics
- VERY accurate instruments and fairly accurate ATC

Cons:
- The awful installer, of course
- Steam needs to figure out that refund policy asap since installing the game counts as playtime (not that I want to refund)
- I have encountered slight bugs already, but nothing game breaking
- HUGE con for me is: no mouse controls as far as I can tell. Although it is less realistic, I love the mouse controls of Warthunder and was expecting this as a basic feature due to how much easier and more accessible mouse steering is.

Overall this game is exactly as I expected, no real surprises. It is ultra realistic, looks beautiful, controls well, etc.

After reading many reviews that made me beyond skeptical, I finally decided to take that classic risk and buy the newest addition to a franchise I know well. I had not played a Far Cry game since Far Cry 3, Far Cry 2 being my most played and all-time favorite. All I can say for this game is that it was fun for me. I beat it once already and am enjoying my second play through. This game stays true to the franchise and I welcome it into my Steam Library. The unavoidable abduction interactions with the antagonists is quite tedious and sometimes annoying on the first play through, but on my second they are the bane of my existence. Unskippable, forced, generic cutscenes that I have little control over is just evil. Overall worth the buy (on sale).
