For anyone interested in how ive been able to do the 0-Knife challenge in this day and age heres some tips:

Literally selling or saving for bulk sale of all weekly drops. Should get like 0.6 a week. (I have 3 accounts)

I then also have a decent level on 2 separate gambling sites, wont mention them here but msg me and ill lyk.I get $2 MINIMUM for free every day so that made it alot easier.... (literally withdrawing whatever the daily cases give me.. no gambling)

Asking people in games... Youd be surprised but like 20% of my amount is actually from other players in lobbies. Just tell them your task/motive and you never know, maybe they help out and send some stuff :)
(Dont ask, Dont get. Type of situation)

Lastly once you have a bulk of items, you want to trade them all for ONE expensive skin on a site like SKINMONKEY or SKINBARRON. I like to check steam market on all items and just get the one with the highest ''Buy Offer''.
HOWEVER, another GOATED thing is that these sites have promocodes... You can literally be getting $10 for free with each trade on each site.

This challenge has been going on for about 2 months.
