Be wary of the game's description and tags. This is not a city builder nor a strategy game. It's just another puzzle game where you really don't have the freedom to 'city build'

Kudos to the dev for releasing the game, its fun and simple but not what it says to be.

I love the theme for this genre. I always wanted a game where you are just a cell trying to make things work and survive.

Enter Lifecraft! I really enjoy the game, i've been following this game from alpha back in the itch.io times, then playtested! (first time!)

The gameplay loop is tight. Build small only to build big throughout the progression.

One big grip I had from before 0.1.0 was that once you get your basic cell stuff automated, starting with mitochondria and ATP generation felt like a steep spike in difficulty (think blue circuits in factorio). Not having my krebs cycle up to date didn't help and I stopped playing there because I didn't know what to do.

Thankfully though, the devs added a guide for just that and other processes and now i feel confident to explore the rest of the game that I shut down for myself because I didn't know how to progress.

The music and the graphics + the game go really together and for a team of two this is quite the accomplishment.

I can only imagine what they have for us in the long run :)

Buyer beware: if you feel lost, the tutorial really prepares you for the game, even if not directly, it teaches you the basics and that applies to pretty much every chain of production, you only need to learn/figure out the 'higher' processes, which has an infographic on how to tackle them.

I love the elder god, Tony Jay really brought some life to it.

I hope they make a sequel or remake defiance (I think there's IP issues with defiance)

So this is like an event quest but for 10 quid. huh and the cosmetics are as expensive as the dlc itself lol.

Nothing new as far as the eye can see, the new planet is a mismash of all the planets and horrible to navigate through since your only means of transportation for 3/4 of the dlc is the tractor which for some reason freaks up and becomes unmanageable.

New mechanics? Sure. Two: Storms and their 'research'. The rest? Nothing. It says new tech but so far it's only tech that'd work for storms and nowhere else.

Really, I'd expect way, way, way, way, way, much more for a 10 usd other than a new questline with new special effects.

Shame on System Era for thinking this was a good idea

It is really addicting, and well thought out. Some supply chains/resources can be a pain but this game is very forgiving in some aspects.

Give the demo a try and then buy it! It's a steal!

a perfect diorama game

This game had so much potential. They screwed themselves over in their EA stage. Such a shame it's abandoned.

If you're willing to play this, just get it in heavy discount. This will never get any new updates anymore, so it seems.

people complaining about road placement where it is explicitly not a feature of the game. Did y'all read the game description?
I love it, it'd be a perfect fit for the steam deck if they implement controllers.
