If you have OBS installed go to [C:\Program Files\obs-studio\data\obs-plugins\win-dshow] to and use the virtual camera uninstaller bat file as this breaks the game I had this issue on both Windows and Linux. I could not find where the file for Vcam plugin is on Linux so I just uninstalled the OBS Flatpak and the game ran well on SteamDeck. This game is very annoying to debug I wish they kept the original on Steam (but still good game.)

The game barley runs on AMD cards which I hope doesn't carry over to all of RTX Remix, the game does not work with steam link as it displays over the window itself and acts as an overlay. When it runs properly it's alright but you should just play the OG as 300 fps is always better than a 30-60 fps that is slightly polished.

This game and practically all other Call of Duty games on steam are a security risk as well as BO3 may not boot on your system.

Boot- Some sound devices make the game crash on boot and may require altering of your BIOS or disabling of the device in sound settings of the Windows control panel. This might also be happening due to AV software especially from Bitdefender from what I have heard.

Security- If a hacker knows your steam ID and or has been in a game with you they can find your IP address as well as use the MXT menu to boot you off the game or even join your game. One of the people looking into the issues has claimed there is not a single packet sent from you to Demonware (Game server provider) or vice versa that doesn't have a vulnerability within it. This could mean that there are other potential ways to do the same or more damage. There are some workarounds including playing on Steam Offline Mode if you play solo or use the community patch in zombies to play with people. If you own the DLC for the game people can also remotely corrupt your DLC so you may need to validate game files if you notice that DLC has stopped working.

One thing that shows the absolute state of this game is that the Demonware American servers were accessed by a hacker and this hacker made it so that other hackers cannot remotely end the public games with their mod menus in the American servers. If Demonware doesn't fix their servers the hackers will. (The entire game is like an old CS HvH server)

This is one of my favourite games for the Zombies mode but I find it hard to recommend with the plethora of issues the game faces on PC. However worst of all is that Treyarch knows this. Treyarch have been informed by multiple CoD content creators yet no one has gotten a response in over a year. This game is way overpriced and is like paying to have a giant target on your head go buy something better and preferably not by Actvision
